3 1 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 1.1 Take Control for Windows Supported from Windows 2000 Operating Systems SP 4 (Internet Explorer 6), excluding Server Core versions of Windows. For information on the features available for Windows and the supported versions please visit: Supported Operating Systems: Windows. 1.2 Take Control for OSX Supported from OSX 10.7 onwards. For information on the features available for OSX and the supported versions please visit: Supported Operating Systems: OSX. 2 CONFIGURE USER PASSWORD AND ACTIVATE TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION Note: You may begin once you receive an to set up your user account and two-factor authentication. 5 Step 6: Install an authenticator app on your mobile device. Note: NuArx recommends Google Authenticator for Android and ios devices. See Appendix: Install Google Authenticator on Android or Appendix: Install Google Authenticator on ios for specific installation instructions. 6 Step 8: Enter the Security Code from your mobile device authenticator app; click Next. Step 9: Record your recovery code in case you lose access to your device and need to reset two-factor authentication; click Login. Proprietary and Confidential. Page 6 of 17

7 3 INSTALL THE TAKE CONTROL VIEWER Note: You are taken to the dashboard after you log in. Step 1: Go to Remote Access > Download Take Control Viewer. Note: You may need to specify where to save the TakeControl_Setup.exe file. Step 2: Open the TakeControl_Setup.exe file once it completes downloading. Step 3: Select Yes if asked Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your PC?. Note: The Program name is TakeControl_Setup.exe. Proprietary and Confidential. 10 4 BOOKMARK THE DASHBOARD AND CONFIRM SETTINGS Step 1: Open the dashboard. Step 2: Bookmark the dashboard page for future use. Step 3: Go to File > Log Off. Proprietary and Confidential. Page 10 of 17

11 Step 4: Enter your User Name and Password; click Login. Step 5: Step 6: Launch Google Authenticator on your mobile device to retrieve a security code. Enter the Security Code; click Submit. 12 5 REMOTELY ACCESS TARGET COMPUTER (TAKE CONTROL) Note: You should be viewing your dashboard. Step 1: Choose the location you want to access. Note: If you have multiple locations, click the arrow to expand the dropdown list in the left navigation menu to view all locations. > Step 2: Click the Workstations tab in the middle navigation window. 13 Step 4: Click Take Control. Note: You may need to specify where to save the tvcontrol.tvc file. Step 5: Open the tvcontrol.tvc file once it completes downloading. Note: This file will open the Team Viewer application and connect to the target workstation you clicked to access. 15 7 APPENDIX: INSTALL GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR ON ANDROID Step 1: Search for Google Authenticator in the Play store on your device; select Install. Step 2: Launch Google Authenticator; select BEGIN SETUP. Step 3: Select Scan a barcode to add the remote access service. Step 4: If you do not have a barcode scanning tool installed on your device, you will be prompted to install one. Select Install. Proprietary and Confidential. Page 15 of 17

16 Step 5: Install a barcode scanner. Step 6: Go back to Google Authenticator and select Scan a barcode again. Scan the barcode on your computer screen. Step 7: After scanning the barcode, you are presented with a Dashboard Security Code. Enter the code where requested on the two-factor authentication setup screen. Proprietary and Confidential. 17 8 APPENDIX: INSTALL GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR ON IOS Step 1: Search for Google Authenticator in the App store on your device; select Install. Step 2: Select BEGIN SETUP. Step 3: Select Scan barcode. Step 4: After scanning the barcode, you are presented with a Dashboard Security Code. Enter the code where requested on the two-factor authentication setup screen. Proprietary and Confidential.
