The following sequence of events may result in incorrect masking characters being displayed on the GROUPS command display: 1. Add a new group member which contains a masking character 2. Shut down SYSVIEW 3. WARM start SYSVIEW The displayed masking character as a result of these events may have been incorrectly changed to another value. For example, a '*' may be changed to a '%' after SYSVIEW is WARM started. Unpredictable masking character substitution in GROUP member definitions. The IMSLOGR for each monitored IMS subsystem allocates its own data space, each of which has a minimum size of 100MB. In non-production environments, this minimum may be too large and result in wasted storage. The APAR/PTF will lower the minimum value from 100M to 10M. The cumulative effect of multiple large data spaces on an LPAR with limited real storage can have a negative impact on system paging. This problem was initially encountered when adjusting the system clock for daylight savings time. The difference in values being displayed is caused by not utilizing the value of the locally adjusted time at the time of IPL. The time displayed on the 'Last IPL' line of the SYSVIEW IPLINFO command is different from the time displayed on the 'SYSTEM IPLED AT' line of the MVS 'D IPLINFO' command. The user may be misinformed on when the last IPL happened. This issue can be circumvented if the user issues the MVS 'TIMEZONE' command to adjust the system clock 1 hour forward or backward as needed. The CTASKS command display shows an incorrect CPUTime. The CPUTime that is displayed is a factor of 16 too small when compared to the correct value that should be displayed. This can be verified by checking the SMF Record Report for a task, which can be reached by issuing a Select line command from the CTASKS command display. The SMF Record Report for the selected task will display the correct CPU time. This only occurs for CICS TS 3.1. The CTASKS display incorrectly displays CPUTime for tasks within a CICS TS 3.1 region. This problem did not affect transaction threshold processing. While there is no circumvention to fix the CTASKS display, the correct CPU time for task can be located by issuing the Select line command to view the SMF Record Report for a task. This message was issued multiple times while viewing output that has exceeded There are situations where record lengths as large as are acceptable and do not need notification or truncation. Those record lengths greater than should be truncated and notification sent to the user. Message GSVX545E is received anytime output with a record length greater than is viewed. The message is similar to the following: GSVX545E Invalid CICXXXX.CICSXXXX.JOB#####.D ? record length, found, changed to Output is truncated to if greater than 32760, or for variable length.
