Applied Technology Associates (ATA), is a privately held small business founded in 1975 and headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ATA is an advanced technology and products company that delivers space, airborne, and groundbased systems to government, aerospace, commercial, and international customers. We specialize in inertial navigation, acquisition, tracking, precision pointing, line-of-sight stabilization, real-time software, control products, and systems. ATA also offers cost-effective specialized integration and testing capabilities, and owns and operates joint ventures that provide engineering services to the aerospace industry. ATA has received multiple achievement awards over the years, including: Multiple AFRL Small Business Research and Development (R&D) Contractor of the Year citations, two (2) Small Business Administration (SBA) Region VI Contractor of the Year awards, and the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) Technology Achievement Award. MIT Lincoln Laboratories selected ATA as the Small Business of the Year from among 3,400 small businesses. Northrop Grumman awarded ATA their World Class Team Supplier Award for outstanding performance and support of the Modular Space Vehicle program.

3 LASER COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS Artist rendering courtesy of NASA ATA has a 40-year history of leading-edge modeling, analysis, design, development, and testing in inertial sensing and nano-radian class optical line-of-sight control. ATA utilizes its market leading acquisition, tracking, and precision pointing systems to build, test, and deliver space-qualified inertially stabilized platforms for laser communications (Laser Comm) programs. ATA s inertial sensors, stabilized platforms, and reactionless fast steering mirrors have been proven in Commercial, Department of Defense (DoD), and NASA programs, including the Lunar Laser Communications Demonstration (LLCD) and the Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD). Today, ATA builds and delivers fully capable GEO and LEO laser communications systems including small Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) gimballed optical terminals for cross link applications, and CubeSat-class optical terminals. 4 HIGH ENERGY LASER (HEL) SYSTEMS ATA has a long history of measuring, characterizing, and evaluating the performance of laser weapon demonstration systems. Our personnel have designed, developed, integrated, delivered, and field-tested laser and beam control systems for airborne, ground-based, and maritime HEL applications. ATA has extensive experience integrating a wide variety of subsystems and components into demonstration and prototype platforms including the Army High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck (HELMTT), the Air Force Mobile Active Targeting Resource for Integrated experiments (MATRIX), and other HEL and pointing and tracking testbeds. ATA develops complete laser weapon system and Acquisition, Tracking, and Pointing (ATP) fire control software and firmware inherently modular and testable with significant Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) reduction. ATA also is a market leader in integrated pointing control and image processing systems crucial to acquiring and tracking targets. ATA is at the forefront of Line-of-Sight Stabilization (LOSS) architectures and component technologies for beam control systems. 5 SPACE SOLUTIONS AND MANUFACTURING ATA designs, develops, builds, integrates, and tests enabling components and subsystems for space systems including our angular rate sensors and stablization platforms for laser communications. ATA s space qualified offerings also include our precision pointing control, tracking, and real-time processing systems. ATA is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing ATA-designed space-qualified solutions at our Albuquerque, New Mexico corporate headquarters. We have established innovative approaches to assemble, integrate, and test (AI&T) space subsystems and systems designed by other organizations (a.k.a. build-to-print), evidenced by our build of the first Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) Modular Space Vehicle Bus for Northrop Grumman. ATA has a full suite of facilities and test equipment that includes several laboratories, environmental test equipment, clean rooms, classified facilities, and a 7,000-square foot high bay facility to accommodate large test and evaluation and AI&T efforts.
