3 Current Situation Supporting IDOC based interfaces can be time-consuming and inefficient. SAP provides separate transactions for related functions. Standard IDOC Monitoring and Search - WE02 Detailed IDOC Search within Segments - WE09 Reprocess IDOCs - BD87 IDOC Test Tool - WE19 Monitor Transactional RFC Queue - SM59 Additionally, even using these transactions it is not always easy to find the required information. When looking to filter by specific fields within IDOCs, WE09 does not display in standard ALV format so cannot be downloaded to Excel, sorted, filtered. WE02 does not display individual fields and segments so each IDOC must be selected individually for review.

5 IDOC Cockpit - Features Selection screen allows IDOC selection using all IDOC header fields. Advanced search within IDOC segment data. User can set default display variant for ALV from selection screen.

6 IDOC Cockpit - Additional Fields 1. Status text added to display. Users do not need to individually lookup each IDOC status. 2. All standard fields that would be available in WE02 or WE09 can be displayed.

7 IDOC Cockpit - Custom Fields from IDOC Data Standard SAP transactions cannot display IDOC segment data in a list. With IDOC Cockpit, you can add ANY field from ANY IDOC segment custom or standard. Users can maintain up to 5 custom fields from within the report transaction. Challenge Company 1 wide IDOC data fields can also be maintained with a separate Challenge master 3 transaction (up to 10 company wide fields in addition to the 5 user specific fields). Column Header names can be maintained instead of unclear standard IDOC field names.

8 IDOC Cockpit - Custom fields from IDOC Data Segment name, segment number, and custom field info is then displayed in the report. If the segment occurs multiple times within an IDOC (e.g. PO line), the user can toggle between displaying all lines and only displaying 1 line per IDOC.

9 IDOC Cockpit - Custom Toolbar Functions Several functions have been added to the application toolbar: Display Application Log (SLG1) - if the customer uses the application log to display detailed info, application logs for individual idocs can be displayed here. Challenge Display 1All Status Messages - Displays all historical status messages and text for an IDOC. Reprocess IDOC (BD87) - Reprocesses the IDOC selected in the report. IDOC Test Tool (WE19) - Uses the IDOC selected in the report to create a new IDOC in the test tool. Change IDOC Status (Report RC1_IDOC_SET_STATUS) - Change individual status of an IDOC. Toggle Multiline - Change between header only or line item display.
