1 How to install HDSME Client Server? HDSME is an enterprise management software which provides all the necessary features for you do Sales, Purchases, Inventory, and Financial Accounting. HDSME is feature rich and easy to use software which is available for 30 days of FREE TRIAL. The client-server version can be installed on PCs with different hardware/software configurations subject to fulfillment of the Basic System Requirements as mentioned below: 1. Hard Disk Space: 160 GB 2. RAM: 2GB 3. Operating System: Windows 7 Professional, Windows 2008 Server, or Windows Net Framework 3.5 runtime 5. Internet Information Service (IIS) 6. Windows Installer 3.1 NOTE: Please note that the list of requirements specified above are not exhaustive, and we request you to visit the System Requirements page before proceeding with the installation. The steps to install HDSME Client-Server are as shown below: Installation of HDSME Server 1. Click here to go to the download page. (Copy-paste into your browser if the link did not work) 2. 2 3. Install Server The installation of the server is different for Windows XP and higher versions of windows. i. For Windows XP a. Go to downloads folder and double-click on HDSME-Server-Setup.msi file b. Click on Run. c. Click on Next. Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 2

4 f. Click on Close once the installation is complete. ii. For Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10 a. Enable and configure IIS (Internet Information Service) Go to Control Panel. Click on Programs. Click on Turn Windows features on or off. Select Internet Information Service & expand it. Select Web Management Tools & expand it. Select IIS6 Management Compatibility & expand it. 5 You can now collapse the options user Web Management Tools Select World Wide Web Services and expand Select Application Development Features Select ASP.net if not selected Click on OK and close the window a. 6 c. Type cd / and hit enter key to go to the root folder. d. You would now need to go to the location where you have saved the HDSME -Server- Setup.msi that you downloaded. You would need to enter cd till you reach the desired folder. f. Enter the name of the file HDSME-Server-Setup.msi and hit enter key. g. Click on Next to start the installation. 9 l. Change Folder Permissions for the server. Once the installation is complete, go-to C:\inetpub folder, right click on wwwroot folder and right click, select Properties. Go to Security tab and click on Edit. Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 9

10 Click on Add. Enter Everyone and click on OK. Select Everyone and check the Allow checkbox against Full Control and click on OK. Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 10

11 m. Restart the World Wide Web Publishing service Start the run command (Win + R) and enter services.msc. Click on OK. From the list of services, find World Wide Web Publishing. Hyper Drive Information Technologies Private Limited Page 11

12 Click on Restart Service toolbar button. Close the window. Installation of HDSME Client 1. Open a web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, and navigate to the client download page: Server's IP Address>/HDSMEServer/Home.aspx For e.g., 2. Click on Download HDSME. 13 3. Double-click on the downloaded file 4. Enter the server s address as Http ://< Your Server's IP Address>/HDSMEServer/ For e.g., http: // /HDSMEserver 5. Click on OK. 6. Enter details for registration of the Client application and click on Register. 7. Enter the key received in your address. 8. Enter details for registration of Server application and click on Register. 9. Enter the key received in your address. 10. You can now use the application in trial mode.
