You re the best! Discover how versatile and powerful 3Shaper has become, offering now dozens of new markets and applications. But for now here's a little taster... 2 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
3Shaper V2 is delivered in 2 levels. V2 level, which includes 10% new features and 35% improvement on existing features. V2 PRO level, which includes almost double functionalities compared to current V1, and 35% improvement on existing V1 features. Exceptionally, customers who subscribe to our Annual Maintenance / Pack performance contract for 3DESIGN, will be entitled to get FREE update to 3Shaper V2, even they do not have the 3Shaper Maintenance contract. For 3Shaper V2 PRO, upgrade will be proposed at preferred pricing, again, for our 3DESIGN Annual Maintenance or Performance Pack holders. & more 3 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Talking about how you will see: New reflections have been created, easing the visualization of your piece. You have various possibilities, preset environment modes or choice of colors which you can customize. You have an increased feeling about the 3D relief variations, which ease modeling. You can also identify tangency breakage with new reflections, and thus, make corrections easily! INCREASE SENSE OF 3D RELIEFAND FEELINGS WHILE MODELING Talking about how it will feel : The number of patches has been drastically improved. With 3Shaper V1, the maximum number of patches was set to With 3Shaper V2, you can now go all the way up until patches, a + 250% increase! REFINE PATCHES Simply click on the new Refine icon to multiply patches. 4 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Refine is available globally or along color attributes. This way, you can be very accurate when preparing your model to further modeling, just selecting areas which need more patches, as you need more details to be modeled (see below for more details). The boundaries for your imagination is pushed back, as you can model design, even more creative, complex and detailed. To match 3Shaper V2 s high level of new possibilities we have also improved RAM consumption. Also, to speed up further your workflow, a myriad of new shortcuts are available with just Left or Right Click or pressing ALT on your keyboard. And this is not all. We have created new tricks and features that work like a charm! New Selection modes have been added: PAINT, EXTEND, FACE LOOP, SELECT BY ATTRIBUTES! Examples: With PAINT selection use your mouse like a paint brush, and just pass over the faces you want to select! With EXTEND, select one or several edges or faces, and each contiguous face will be selected! CLICK, AND SELECTION IS AUTOMATICALLY EXTENDED! With Face loop, jclick on the or the, and your selection will be extended to the next face or row, according to the direction of your arrow. All this as easy as your DVD player! 5 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Colors Your new tool to organize your work by colors, just as a graphic designer works with layers on her/his file. Build your object color by color or assign different colors to the various parts of an object. You can define your own colors and attributes to them, extend an entire selection to a color or modify it with a right click. Mostly, use Colors as filters that can be hidden, shown or frozen. We know many customers asked for it, and we are proud to deliver today such a powerful tool, easy to take in hands and that will considerably increase your efficiency and workflow. Indeed, an undeniable time-saving tool! COLOR & HIDE FOR EASIER MANIPULATIONS! Ease modeling, as you can select one or more colors easily, hide the others, and more easily refine and customize this part of your model. Like working with layers. Optimize parametric possibilities, as you can assign Attributes to colors (see below in paragraph Attributes ). A Certified major advancement in 3Shaper V2 and developed due to popular demand! 6 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Brushes Brushes will become one of your new favorite play tools. Use them as if you were sculpting the surface of your object, giving it a real hand touch. First of all, you will have to set your properties such as strength of your brush, axis, push, grab (you re gonna love this one), smudge, radius, etc. With Create texture (the interpolation mode), the speed at which you work with your mouse will determine your workflow. With Reverse mode you can add on one side of your object and it is reversed on the other side! And, many more possibilities are offered, so don t worry 3Shaper addicts, there is always more for you too! PICK UP THE BRUSH TOOL, SELECT STRENGHT, RESOLUTION, SHAPE OF DEFORMATION, MIRRORING, DIRECTIONS, AND LET YOUR IMAGINATION GUIDE YOU, LIVE! 7 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Useful tool: Connect vertices Sometimes, you get carried away by your creation and imagination, you re focused on your job and you think I ll take care of the details later ; and then you may end up with some errors on a file. Well, with 3Shaper V2, now you re taken care of. Merging vertices will merge overlapping or very close points that appear in red, so your file is ready for Boolean operations or stl output. This automatic tool will correct in one click according to the accuracy you select (from fast to fine) and gives much better and nicer results when done globally, as a whole. Also works for connection and welding of imported files, like OBJ, which may often be open and imperfect! SAVE TIME AND CLICKS AUTOMATICALLY AND ADJUST RESULT AS YOU WISH 8 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Check out our new Moves Lots of new possibilities when using the Move menu. You now have full and versatile control over your moves. You can change the direction of your extrusions, according to an axis, a plane (so movements according 2 directions), several axis at the same time. Along a 3D imported or previously created object. And even along any 2D or 3D curve you may have drawn. This ease movements, and of course deformations. Modeling is made easier, more intuitive, quicker. Bridges (faces or edges) Control how to go from one end of a piece to another thanks to the new Bridges function. Use the Bridge function along a line or an axis using the same options as the Extrusion feature. Check the details just below! 9 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Attributes From now on, create an attribute, name it and assign it to a face or an edge. This attribute is saved in history and will increase parametric possibilities in 3Shaper V2. Create a whole object from one element with 3Shaper V2 s parametric and full history. An advanced feature, for advanced users. 3Shaper V2 gives you the possibility to begin working with parametric. From now on, save time and complex operations for later stages thanks to the parametric power. Extrusion Here is an easy tool to help you split your extrusion(s). Select one or a selection of faces, click and pull to extrude; even multiple faces can be done at the same time! A great and rapid way to create shells, textures, hairs, etc. Choose the Free extrusion mode and unleash your creativity! There is a major change between 3Shaper V1 and V2 in this Free Extrusion mode: it is the possibility to extrude and move your extrusion, in all directions, at the same time! Not only do you save steps and clicks but your extrusion is completely free, meaning you can virtually do anything you have in mind. This tool really is the extension of your hand! UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY 10 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Extrusion Advanced Use Extrude around an axis to create a ring in one operation! Select the face from which you want to start the ring, choose your axis and simply extrude around it. The perfect tool for your cocktail ring collections! To go even further, use Extrude along a curve to reap all the design possibilities of 3D curves. Start by creating your 3D curve, select the face to extrude and the extrusion will automatically follow the 3D curve. Reap the rewards of an advanced tool that can be applied to a variety of applications Create 3D shapes 3Shaper V2 allows you to create new primitive shapes to help you save time and clicks! From now on, pipe, sphere, cone or 3D spiral are only one click away. For example, create original bracelets in no time thanks to the new 3D spiral option. 11 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Create 2D shapes Take advantage of new ways to start working with surfaces. These are especially useful when combined with the new attributes functionalities. Work directly on your 2D shape and see immediate 3D result after parametric historic computation. Or just move and you get immediate deformations. Duplication The new linear duplication tool. It is the ideal tool for repetitive compositions, especially for intricate structures. This feature corresponds to new demands for laser fusion selective designs, molds, repetitive patterns, etc. OPEN UP TO NEW MARKETS 12 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Scooping If you are familiar with 3DESIGN CAD, then you already know about Scooping. The main purpose of Scooping is to help designers save on material weight. Select the interior of your model and assign a color or attribute to your selection depending on how you work. Then work on your piece as freely as ever knowing in the end (and even at the last minute!) you can use Scooping as a finishing tool to obtain best (and light!) result. Plus, Scooping in 3Shaper V2 isn t limited to closed rings and simple shapes. It works on any of your constructions which are not symmetric or closed shapes, like Toi & Moi, spiral shape rings, any shape! Use Scooping on rings or any other 3D object and save on material weight! Project onto Very useful when working with 3D scanned artworks, to recreate almost instantly the 3D shape, even 360, which you can model further at will. You may also wrap a 3D self modeled surface onto another 3D shape. May even work with textures. See the power of wrapping in the Reconstruction of a 3D solid for packaging applications video on 13 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
Retopology (option, feature available in 3Shaper V2 PRO ) With only one icon, discover a whole new world of opportunities with Retopology. Retopology covers areas from reverse engineering to surface reconstruction allowing you to easily and rapidly construct. Modeling from scratch is one thing, but often, you will need to re-create a model based on an underlying surface. 3Shaper V2 lets you import an underlying model and create new geometry (by patch or square) on top of it that automatically sticks to the surface. With this simple yet powerful and essential feature, it is easy to create clean, low poly models that conform to the shape and dimensions of the original piece. Four options are offered to begin your work. You can either start from a plane, from a surface, from a curve or from a 2D file (a picture using the Draft Kit function). Many of you will appreciate using a piece from a 3D scan and its cloud of points (the stl file you obtain from the 3D scan is not adapted for CAD/CAM purposes). When beginning with a solid (let s say from a 3D scan), you will reconstruct patch by patch with rapid construction tools. The quads you will create are 4 points squares and with our rapid and easy to use tools, re-constructing your piece is as easy as ABC! You will create quads (those little squares) that will add up and stick to each other automatically. Those quads will hook on each other upon either: - support surfaces (such as a 3D stl file) - a 3DESIGN object (you have already reconstructed in 3Shaper before modelling it) - an image (just like the Draft kit in 3DESIGN) or a plane - a 3D curve Also, if you begin working on a plane or on an image, Retopology will be a very useful tool to help you draw or create from scratch, so just like another modelling method! These options will allow you to reconstruct the desired object and you will obtain a surface you can model as freely as you want. Also, you can transfer this file back into 3DESIGN to make Boolean and/or sweeping operations. That is the magic of 3DESIGN and 3Shaper! For you jeweller, these are the ideal tools to help you reconstruct a non-standard stone in 3Shaper V2 and then import it into 3DESIGN to build a ring or piece exactly for this(ese) stone(s)! Enter the world of 3D reconstruction opportunities and penetrate dozens of new markets IMPORT A 3D SCANNED ARTWORK. 14 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
.., AND START YOUR RECONSTRUCTION. DESIGN A FIRST FACE, THEN DUPLICATE IT, EXTEND IT IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY SNAP ON THE STL SURFACE! AND REPRODUCE A PERFECT DESIGN. 15 Discover 3Shaper V2 /
