15 3D printing 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal crosssection of the eventual object. Watch the video

18 ARki: Augmented Reality Architectural Visualization ARKi is an Augmented Reality service for real-time visualization of architectural and real-estate models provided by V-Studio in association with DARF Design. By incorporating AR technology within the architectural design process, ARki is able to visualize 3d models for design and presentation purposes, helping to create an immersive visualization technique with multiple layers of interactivity. ARki can be deployed on any ios/android device, and allows the user to explore 3d data with an added level of navigational freedom. By simply overlaying 3d models onto existing 2d floor plans, ARki provides real-time architectural visualization which has several benefits in design communication for a multitude of architectural projects. The AR visualization can be easily displayed on larger projection screen to demonstrate the superimposition of virtual data on top of 2d images for large presentations

23 A media table allows for digital floor plans and project images to be superimposed with augmented reality data including virtual 3d models and animations. In this way ARki can work at runtime on top of virtual 2d animated images for multiple presentation purposes. Watch the video

26 3D hologram printing V-Studio & in association with a world leading design house designs and manufactures 3D digital holograms. The digital holograms are fully qualified commercial products aimed at medical imaging, scientific visualization and engineering design. A digital hologram looks like a sheet of plastic with the holographic image encoded within it. It requires a light to bring out the 3D image, so there are no 3D glasses, projection or projectors involved. We can take your 3D models or data (point clouds, scan, or simulations) and convert them into digital holograms. It is possible to encode multiple images (channels) within the digital hologram such that you can show e.g. the inside of a design from different angles or viewpoints. The maximum size of the hologram is 1.0 x 1.5m (or less).
