9 Using the Tools All tools use the PLAN_TABLE Oracle9i and before: <oracle_home>/rdbms/admin/utlxplan.sql Oracle10g+ Automatically Created PLAN_TABLE$ Public Synonym to PLAN_TABLE Oracle11+ synonym has been created IF autotrace or Explain Plan For complains create public synonym under SYS 9

17 SQL trace SQL TRACE tool generates a raw trace file (*.trc) that contains info about SQL statements File created with adjustable default format in USER_DUMP_DEST Creates a simple Enable SQL Execution Trace Trace Level 12 includes all available information SQL Stats Bind variables Wait events 17
