CHAPTER 1 Welcome Welcome to the Gator Nursery System. This guide will familiarize you with the layout of the application and serve as a reference you can return to as you develop your knowledge of the Gator Nursery System application. This chapter discusses the following Touring the Layout 6

Touring the Layout Let's start by touring the application and looking at the different parts of each module. Each module in the Gator Nursery System works a little differently and you need to take care to mind which module you are in. Logging in Directing your browser to will open the login screen. The credentials used to log into the Gator Nursery System are unique to the application and every new user will need to be authorized to use the application. You can not use your Driscoll's login credentials. If you remain inactive for 30 minutes the system will automatically log you out. If this happens you will be presented with the login dialog box where you can log back in as the same user or switch users. Module Ribbon The Module Ribbon is your main navigation and will be used to switch between the different modules. The initial release of the Gator Nursery System includes seven different modules. Moving left to right from there you will see: Mother Plants Clones Orders Inventory Testing Locations The modules that are visible in the Module Ribbon depend on the permissions you were granted by your administrator when they set up your user account. You may not see all seven modules in the ribbon. If you feel that you need access to a module but cannot view it, contact your administrator and request permissions for that module. 6

On the far right side of the Module Ribbon you will be greeted by your user name. Clicking on the small gear will open up the user menu. In this menu you can log out of the Gator Nursery System or open the User Maintenance Module. The User Maintenance option is only available to administrators. Inside each module you can apply filters to display pertinent information. Clicking on View will expand the filter menu. The Filter menu is dynamic and changes depending on which Module you are currently in. Applying filters narrows your search making the information you need easier to find. We are going to go more in depth with each filter menu as we discuss each module. Module Layout All six of the major modules (Excluding the Dashboard and User Maintenance) are comprised of four major areas: The Grid, Quick Search, Button Board, and the Filter Menu. The buttons located on the Button Board change according to which module you are in. We will be looking at each module in closer detail later. Note: The Quick Search will maintain its query until cleared. If you pass the Quick Search a query it will remain active for that user even after logging out, when the user logs back in the grid will still display the Quick Search results. 9 CHAPTER 2 Modules Each module is used for a distinct purpose and should be treated differently. Each module is made up of the filter menu, quick search, button board, and grid. These individual parts change dynamically depending on which module is currently open. In this Chapter we will discuss each module in depth covering what each module and module part should be used for. The modules discussed in the chapter are: Mother Plants Clones Orders Inventory Testing Locations User Maintenance This chapter discusses the following. 10 Mother Plants Module The Mother Plants module is designed to track and maintain all information on all mother plants. Searching The Grid is already populated with past Mother plants. To find a particular Mother plant you can use the quick search to search by Name, Type, Location, or source. Note: Searching by date is not available at this time. If you need to search for items by date you must use the filter menu. If you are unsure of any of the quick search criteria, you can use the filter menu to filter the results down to display a range of cells depending on the conditions you've placed. Opening the Filter menu inside the Mother Plant module will display the following conditions: Crop - Displays all items of that particular crop Selection Year - Displays all items that were created for the selected year Selection Name - Displays Mother plants with corresponding names Source - Displays all items from that source Date Established - Displays all items within the range you've entered Status - Displays all items that are either active, discarded, dropped, or inactive Mother Plant Type - At the release of the Gator Nursery System application there are two Mother Types; Candidate Mother and Elite Nucleus Mother Location - Displays all Items from a particular location The more filters you select the narrower your search results will be. You may use every filter provided for a single search. Once you have selected the filters desired be sure to click the Apply Filter button. To remove the filters simply click the Remove Filter button and the filter menu will be cleared. 10

Note: You can use the Quick search in conjunction with the filter menu. This can also cause issues if you pass the Quick Search a query and then use the filter menu without first clearing the Quick Search, the filter menu will only be applied to items that fit the Quick search query. Be mindful of the Quick Search, it must be blank if you want unadulterated Filter results. You can hide the filter menu at any time by clicking on Hidebutton. This will not clear the Filters you've applied, they will stay active until you remove them using the Remove Filter button. Creating a New Mother Plant Item To add a new Mother Plant to the database you will start by clicking on the Create New Mother Plants button from the button board. This will open up a new menu screen. In this menu you need to select either a crop, year, or both. Once you select a crop from the drop down, the menu will be populated with corresponding items. To continue you must select at least one or more items from the list. After you have choosen your crop and selected the correct item from the list you will proceed to the next screen by clicking Next. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

The last screen of the Add New Mother Plants contains five required fields. All fields must be filled out to save the new item. Note: Source Is not marked as required, but the system will not let you save the item without selecting a source from the drop down menu. Once you click Save the new item will be added to the Data set. Edit Mother Plant Items Once the item has been added it can be edited by clicking on the Context menu inside the Grid. This opens the Edit Mother Plant Screen where you can make edits to the item. The Edit Mother Plant screen allows you to edit the plants: Location Row No Position No Status Comments The edit option is only used to change the Mother Plants location and Status, if you made a mistake when entering a plants name or type you must reenter that Mother Plant. Note: Creating Mothers or Clones quantities does not reflect in inventory. 12

Exporting The Export button located on the button board exports a single.csv file that will open in an Excel spreadsheet. The Gator Nursery System application grabs whatever information is currently populating the grid and exports that information. If the Quick Search is blank and all filters are cleared the application will export all items. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Clones Module The Clones module tracks individual clones and clone batches.1 Searching The grid is already populated with existing clones. To find a particular Clone you can use the quick search to search by Clone Name, Clone Type, and Source. Note: Searching by Date is not available at this time. If you need to search for items by date you must use the filter menu. If you are unsure of any of the quick search criteria, you can use the filter menu to filter the results to display a range of cells depending on the conditions you've placed. Opening the Filter menu inside the Clone module will display the following conditions: Crop - Displays all items of that particular crop Selection Year - Displays all items that were created for the selected year Selection Name - Displays Mother plants with corresponding names Source - Displays all items from that source Date Established - Displays all items within the range you've entered Status - Displays all items that are either active, discarded, dropped, or inactive Clone Type - At the release of the Gator Nursery System application there are two Mother Types; Candidate Mother and Elite Nucleus Mother The more filters you select the narrower your search results will be. You may use every filter provided for a single search. Once you have selected the filters desired be sure to click the Apply Filter button. To remove the filters simply click the Remove Filter button and the filter menu will be cleared. 14

You can hide the filter menu at any time by clicking on thehidebutton. This will not clear the Filters you've applied, they will stay active until you remove them using the Remove Filter button. Creating a New Clone When you click on the Create New Clone button on the button board a small drop down menu opens allowing you to choose between creating a new clone in batch or creating a new individual clone. Creating new clones in batch The Add New Clones (Batch) menu will open and you will need to select either a crop, year, or both. The menu will populate with the corresponding data. To progress to the next page you must select one or more rows from the data set. If no data is available in the table you will not be able to proceed. Clicking Next will move you forward to the last page of the Add Batch menu. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

All three fields on this page are required to save the item. Creating new clones individually If you need to enter a single clone you will choose the Create New Clones (Individually) from the Create New Clones drop down menu. The Add New Clones (Individually) screen contains five required fields, all five must be completed to save the new item. The Selection field contains the Type-Ahead feature and will display up to 10 items in a drop down menu to help you select the correct selection. When you are finished don't forget to click Save or the new clone will not be entered into the data set. 16

Edit Clone Items The Context menu contains two options, Edit and Split. Edit The edit screen inside the Clones Module only allows you to edit the status of the clone and add comments. Split The split edit screen allows you to split clones. You will need to enter a quantity and a new date to save the clone split. Exporting The Export button located on the button board exports a single.csv file that will open in an Excel spreadsheet. The Gator Nursery Systemapplication grabs whatever information is currently populating the grid and exports that information. If the Quick Search is blank and all filters are cleared the application will export all items. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Orders Module The orders module is used to request new orders and track orders throughout their life from initial request to completion. Searching The grid is populated with submitted orders. You can use the Quick Search to search for items by the following criteria: Order Number Stock Type Requester Destination Order Status You can use the filter menu to narrow down the grid to display a range of items to help find a particular order. The Filter menu dynamically changes depending on which module you are in. The filter menu consists of text boxes, drop down menus, and date selectors. The text boxes will Type-Ahead as you type, to help you find the correct item you are looking for. If the Type-Ahead feature is active on the text box you are working in, a small drop down will appear displaying up to 10 of the most relevant items. Create New Order When creating a new order you must fill in every line on the Add New Order screen that appears after clicking Create New Order. The Gator Nursery System application will not let you save the new order without completing every field and uploading at least one item. To ensure the Order Line Item is in the proper format please download the template file and add order items directly to that template file. To download the template you can click on the Download Template link located inside the Add New Order Screen. 18

Exporting The Orders Module contains two export buttons on the button board. The Orders Modules allows for exporting of the Order List and Order Content. The export buttons will export the items that are currently populating the grid. Editing Orders Clicking on the context menu you can edit individual items. Clicking on edit will open the Edit Order screen. From this screen you can edit all the same values you entered when creating a new order. The edit screen also displays a details block that displays who created the order, when it was created, the last time it was updated, and when it was updated last. Don't forget to click Save after you have made your changes. Under current security users can edit/view the header and lines. Edit - Allows the user to edit the header View Line Item - Allows the user to edit the lines View Change Log - Allows the user to view any changes made to the item View Line Item The next option in the context menu is the View Line Item. This opens the Order Header Details screen. From this screen you can view the full order header by clicking on the green button near the top of the screen. Below the View Full Order Header button the system will display relevant information about the selected item. Use the filter menu to narrow down the grid or locate specific orders. Upload Line Items You can upload Line Items by clicking on the Upload Line Items button and downloading the Line Item template. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

The template will download as a.csv file that will open in Excel. The template only has six columns with three of them being required. Once you have filled out the form correctly you can upload the document via the Order Import screen (The same screen you downloaded the template from). Exporting The export button will grab any information that is currently populating the grid. The Exported.CSV file is different than the Line Items template, do not try to uploaded the exported file. View Change Log Anytime a change is made to an edit through the edit screen the system logs the change. You can access the change log via the context menu. The History screen will open displaying every change made to that order inside the grid. 20

If the item receives a lot of changes the grid can become long, you can use the filter menu to filter the results displayed in the grid. The gird only displays three columns but you can view a more detailed change log by clicking the context menu and selecting View Details. The Change Details screen displays the date and time the order was created, which field in the order was changed, the old value, new value, and the notes that were created during the change. The Change details screen also will tell you who created the order, who updated the order and when it was updated. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Inventory Module The inventory module is used to maintain the nursery inventories. A user must have been granted permissions to view or edit the Inventory Module and depending on your permissions, you may not be able to access this module. The grid is populated with inventory items already entered into the system. Searching There is no Quick Search available for the Inventory Module, to locate existing items you need to use the filter menu. The Filter menu for the Inventory works the same as it does in the other modules. The Granular filters will search down to a more finite data set. Using either Drop downs or Type-Ahead fields the filter menu can help determine a range of specific data. Creating New Inventory Items There are two ways to add new inventory items to the data set. The Create New Inventory Item button allows the user to add a single commodity to the data set. The user may also use the Import Inventory button to add bulk inventory to the data set. The Create New Inventory Item button will open the Add Inventory Item screen which contains 28 fields with the following 11 being required: Commodity - Type of berry Selection - Type of plant Cycle - The life of the plant (The Cycle field is auto filled with a default value of 1) Quantity - The number of items you are adding Stock Type - Used to differentiate between commercial and breeding material Growth Phase - The current growth phase the plant is in Location - The current location Container Type - The type of container the plant is currently in Source Location - Where the plant came from The current health of the plant Technician - The name of the technician adding the inventory The remaining 17 fields are optional but if the information is available it should always be entered. 22

Inventory ID The Inventory ID field will auto generate in increments of 1. The field will not accept new ID numbers but will allow you to enter existing ID numbers. If you enter an existing ID number in the Add Inventory Item screen the system will automatically switch to the Edit Inventory Item screen for that item. This feature can be used to quickly bring up an items information without having to use the filter menu to locate a particular item. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Editing Inventory Items You can edit Inventory items by clicking the context menu. The edit inventory screen allows you to change any values that were initially imputed at the add screen. Change Log The context menu will also allow you to view the change log for that item. The system will keep track of any changes made to an item, who made the changes, and the date it was changed. Clicking on View Change Log from the context menu will open the history screen for that item. The history screen contains a grid with all the verisions of that item. You can also access the context menu and view more details on every version of that item. The History screen contains a filter menu to help filter down the different versions. If an item is edited various times the grid of versions can get very long and the filter menu will help you find different changes. Inside the filter menu you can narrow your search by date, what field was edited, and who made changes. Exporting the change log will save a.csv file to your computer that contains even more data about each change. The excel file will tell you the old values and the new values. It will display the computer's IP address that was used to change the item and which browser was used to access the Gator Nursery Systemapplication for the change. If you need a detailed read out of all changes the export feature is the best option. 24

Importing Inventory The Import Inventory button will allow you to import multiple items at once. You will need to download the Inventory Item template first, before you can upload any items. Click on the Import Inventorybutton to open the Inventory Import screen. When this screen opens you will be able to download the template. The Inventory Item template will download as a.csv file which will open in Excel. It contains 21 columns with the following being required: Selection Location Code Container Quantity Stock Type Growth Phase Commodity Source Location Code Technician User Name Plant Quality You will have to manually enter values for each field. The Inventory Item Template is case sensitive and most fields will need to be capitalized (e.g. Blackberry and blackberry are not the same). When you have filled out the.csv file you can upload the file by clicking the Add file button from the Inventory Import screen. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

If you made a mistake in filling out the rows inside the Inventory Item template the system will display an error. If the template contains multiple rows and some were successful and others unsuccessful the system will import the correct rows and display the rows which were not successful. the system will produce a duplicate.csv file with a new column called "Reason" which will state why the row was not imported correctly. The system will display a dialog box reporting how many items were imported and how many were rejected due to an error. Clicking on the word "here" will download the duplicate.csv file with the reason column explaining why that item was rejected. Batch Transform Print New Labels The Batch Transform is a 3 step process. When you first click on Batch Transform you will be taken the batch transform screen that displays the first step. Step One of Batch Transform Here you will need to first tell the system whether or not the transform will be a "Pack-Out" or not. By default the Pack-Out check box is deselected, so if you want to perform a Pack-Out you will need to check the Pack-Out box. 26

Once an item has been added to the Batch Transform Queue you will lose the ability to check or uncheck the Pack-Out check box, this needs to be done first. After you have determined whether or not you want to do a Pack-Out Transform you will either select an item by its Inventory ID or select multiple items by Bench ID. Both the Inventory ID and Bench ID text fields have the type-ahead feature enabled and as you type they will display corresponding items. The Inventory Item Detail block will display the Selection, cycle, Location, Cultivar, Clone, and Quantity of the item ID entered. After you enter an ID in either of the Inventory ID or Bench ID text box you will click the Add to Batch button. This will send that item to the Batch Transaction Queue at the bottom of the screen. There you can view more information on the item and change the quantity of the move. To change the Quantity you need to click on the context menu and select Change Quantity. This will allow you to split items and transform only parts. You do not have to transform the entire contents of that item. If you added an item in error you can also remove the item from the context menu. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Note: If you enter an ID that has already been added to the Batch Transaction Queue the system will alert you with a dialog box. To move forward to the next step in the Batch Transform process click Next on the lower right hand of the screen. Step Two of Batch Transform On the second screen the system will display batch details for the new inventory. Below the details block you will need to enter more information relevant to the batch. The system requires the following information: Growth Phase New Location New Container Type Number of Containers Number of items Per Container Technician Plant Quantity You can attach an Order Number to the batch transform or leave the field blank. The Attributes drop down menu will allow you to select as many attributes that apply to that item. Growth Phase, New Parent Location, New Location, and New Container Type all have Barcode fields. You can use these fields to scan in a barcode number. 28

Note: If you are signed in as a technician, the system will automatically select you as the technician. You can change the technician if need be. If you are not signed in as a technician you will need to select a technician. Step Three of Batch Transform The third screen displays the batch details in the same way as the second screen but in more depth, reflecting the information entered in step two. the third step is used as a verification. Here you can view all the details of the batch transform along with all the items being transformed. The only value you can change in step three is the quantity of each item. By clicking on the context menu you can change the quantity. The Edit Inventory Quantity screen will open where you will enter the new quantity and you must also enter a Reason Code. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

When you are satisfied with the batch transform you will click Post. If you are transforming a large quantity of items the post may take a while. If you are stuck with the loading dialog, the system is simply doing its job. You will need to wait until the process is complete, if you hit back on your browser you may corrupt the data. Post is critical to process the Batch, as this creates new inventory IDs in the system and records the transaction to the database. You will notice the Inventory ID column is blank in step three. Inventory IDs will not be created until you post the transform. After the Transform posts you will be able to download a.csv file that contains the current state after the transform. After the Transform posts the Back and Post buttons will change to Print Labels and Export buttons. Export will download a.csv file that contains the current state of the items after the transform. Clicking on the Print Labels button will open a drop down menu that displays all the different label types you can print. Clicking on a label type will open the Print Dialog window. From the Print Dialog screen you will select which printer you want to use to print your labels. 30

Batch Move & Shipping No Need For New Labels The Batch Move and Shipping process is very similar to the Batch Transform process. It's a three step process containing many of the same procedures as the Batch Transform process. Step One of Batch Move & Shipping On the first screen of the Batch Move & Shipping screen you will either need to enter an Inventory ID or a Bench ID. When you enter an Inventory ID the system will display that items Selection, Cycle, Location, Cultivar, Clone, and Quantity. Once you enter the ID number click on the Add To Batch button to send that item to the Batch Move Queue. If you add an item by mistake you can remove it by clicking on the context menu. Once items have been placed into the Batch Move Queue you can view information about those items and the system will display the total quantity to move. Clicking Next will take us to Step Two. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Step Two of Batch Move & Shipping The second screen will display the batch process ID and the total quantity to move in the batch details for inventory move. You will need to enter a growth phase, new location, and a technician. If you are logged in as a technician your username will automatically be selected, you can switch this field to a different technician if need be. If you are not logged in as a technician this field will be blank and you will need to select a technician The following fields are required: Growth Phase New Parent Location Technician The Growth Phase, New Parent Location, and New Location fields have the barcode scanner fields. You can scan barcodes into these fields to enter the data into the system. After you have entered the required information Click Next to move on to step three. Step Three of Batch Move & Shipping 32

The third screen displays all the details on the inventory move. The only thing you can change on the third screen is the quantity. Clicking the context menu will display the Change Quantity option. If you change the quantity you will have to enter a reason code. The following reason codes should be used when changing the quantity: If everything looks correct click Post. If you are moving a large quantity the system might lag on the loading wheel. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

This is okay, please wait until the system has finished moving all items. If you are impatient and click the back button on your browser you might inadvertently currupt the data and/or lose your information. After the Batch Move completes successfully the system will display a success message that allows you to download a.csv file that display the current state of the items after the move. This.CSV file can be downloaded from the success message by clicking on download. If you clicked close too hastily you can export the same file by clicking Export. After you click Post the Post and Back buttons turn into Print Labels and Export. Clicking the Print Labels button will display the different type of print jobs you can perform. Clicking on one of those will open a Print Dialog box where you can select which printer you want to print from. Exporting The Exportbutton will export the data that is currently populating the grid. You can use the filter menu to narrow down the grid to display only relevant data then export that data into a.csv file that you can open in Excel. Print Labels The Print Labels button will open a small drop down menu that displays all the different types of labels that are available to print on. 34

Click the appropriate label and the system will display the print dialox box. From The Print Dialog screen you can select the printer you wish from print from. At this time please verify the Label Type and Total Number of Labels from this screen. The system will remember the last printer you printed from, so you will not have to keep selecting the same printer if you are printing multiple labels. Note: Before you print please confirm the correct type of label is loaded in the printer for the type of labe you have selected. The system will print everything currently displayed in the grid. Use the Filter menu to display only the range of labels you wish to print. If you forget to narrow the grid down, the system can print thousands of lables in err. If in the instance a range of labels have started printing that was not intended you must turn off the printer to prevent further waste and contact the help desk. The print job can only be canceled through help desk. The system will print any items that are currently displayed in the grid. You should use the filter menu to filter down the grid to display only the items you wish to print labels for. The Inventory ID Rangeis very useful for selecting items you need to print labels for. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Note: The system will print everything currently displayed in the grid. 36

Testing Module The Testing Module is used to track and maintain the different tests done throughout the business. Searching There is no Quick Search available for the Testing Module, to locate existing items you need to use the filter menu. The Filter menu for the Inventory works the same as it does in the other modules. The Granular filters will search down to a more finite data set. Using either Drop downs or auto-complete fields the filter menu can help determine a range of specific data. Add New Test details. Adding a new test is a two step process. After you click on the Add New Test button you will be taken to step one where you enter the test Step One Scheduling a new test is a straight forward process. You are required to enter a test name, the purpose of the test, the lab where the test will be conducted, the county, a test category, and ordered tests which is the type of test that will take place. The expiration date is requested but not required. The Ordered Test box will remain blank until you select a Test Category. The type of test that display under Ordered Test is directly related to the Test Category field. The Ordered Test field is comprised of two boxes, available Test and Selected Tests. After selecting a test category the available tests box will populate with all the test that can be preformed under that category. To select a test you will click on the appropriate test to highlight it. The highlighted test can now be moved over to the selected test box by clicking on the move arrow. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

If you want to select all the available test you can simply click the move all arrows. This will move all the test into the Selected Test box so you don't have to move all the tests individually. Accordingly you can move selected tests out of the Selected Tests box back into Available Tests. You would do this if you accidently moved the wrong tests over. To move tests out of the Selected Tests box you will click on the corresponding arrows above the Selected Tests box. Once you have entered all the required information you can click Next to move on to the second step in the process. Step Two 38

The grid will display all the inventoryitems currently available in the county you selected in the previous step. You can use the filter menu to filter down the grid to display the items you need to run tests on. There is a checkbox next to every item in the grid, use this checkbox to select which items you want to schedule a test for. If you are using the filter menu to find different items you can check one item and clear the filter menu and enter new filter terms to find new items. The system will remember every item you have selected even if that item is currently not displayed in the grid. This will allow you to move around in the grid without losing the items that you want to schedule test for. Note: Once you check the box next to an item, that item will remain selected for a test unless you deselect the checkbox. The selected items will have a small check next to them. You also have the ability to select all items in the grid and to unselect all items currently selected. Note: The grid displays 10 items by default, pushing other items into other pages. If the pagination nagivation shows multiple pages then there are more items that fit that filter criteria. If you select all items then all the items on all the pages will be selected. Keep an eye on the pagination navigation when using the Select All button. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

After you have selected the appropriate inventory items you can click on the Schedule Tests button. If there were no errors the system will display a success message with a download link to a.csv file that displays all the information you have entered. Enter Collected Data Parts To enter the collected data parts you will selected the Enter Collected data Parts option from context menu. Selecting this will open the Collected Parts Data screen. This page displays all the items associated with that test. The Collected Parts Data page contains a filter menu to allow you to filter down the grid in the instance there are many items associated with that test. Each item has a check box next to it, check the box to enter data for that item. To select multiple items you must change Individual to Pool. Enter the appropriate information and click Save. Enter Test Results To enter test results you will click Enter Test Results from the context menu. 40

Submitting test results is a two step process. Step One the first screen lets to select an ordered test for that item. If you there was only one test ordered that is the only option available. Use the drop down menu to select the appropirate test and click Add. Clicking Add will display new text fields. The first Field is a drop down for the test results and the second is a drop down menu for any further action needed. You will also see a date field to record when the results were recieved and a text box for any other comments you have. The system will automatically fill in the Results Recorded By field depending on who is signed in during this submission. Note: It is important you are signed into your own account. If the system is still logged in from the previous user please sign out and sign into your account. After you have entered the correct information click the Next button to move onto Step two, Step Two Step two will show all the items associated with that test. The grid is color coded here with a key located below the grid. Use the checkboxes next to each item to select which items are relevant to the results data and click Submit. At this point the system will display a success message to let you know everything has been submitted successfully. You will be taken back to the Testing Module. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Exporting You can export a.csv file for each test individually. To do this select export from the context menu. A.CSV file will download containing all information associated with that test. 42

Locations Module The Locations Module contains information on all Driscoll's locations stored in the Gator Nursery Systemapplication. Searching The Location Module does not contain a Quick Search option and you must use the Filter Menu to search the grid for specific locations. Add New Location Adding a new location is a simple process containing only six required fields. Clicking on Add New Location will open a small dialog box where you will enter the appropriate information and click Save. In the Add Location dialog box you will be required to enter a Location Name Short. The name you provide here will auto fill in the Location Code with the same name you provided. Editing If you need to edit a location you can click on the context menu and select Edit Location. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

Exporting Clicking the Export Location button will export a.csv file with all relevant information for the items currently populating the grid. Printing Location Labels From the Locations Module you can print location labels. Click on the Print Labels and select the appropriate location label. A Print dialog box will open where you can select which printer you want to print from. The system will print labels for any items that are currently populating the grid. You will use the filter menu to select items for labels. The Location ID Rangeis very useful for selecting items for print jobs. Note: If you do not filter down the grid the system will print labels for every item. This can cause a lot of waste. If by chance you forget to filter the grid and print thousands of labels, turn off the printer and contact Help Desk immediately. The only way to cancel the print jobs is through Help Desk. 44

Dashboard We will not be discussing the Dashboard in length as it is not relevant to the work we will be doing. CHAPTER 2 Gator Nursery System

46 This page intentionally left blank to ensure new chapters start on right (odd number) pages.

CHAPTER 3 Administrator The following chapter focuses on administrator responsibilities. This chapter discusses the following. Administrator 48 Granting Permissions 49 Roles 50

Administrator Administrators have access to all modules and can make changes other users cannot. User Maintenance The User Maintenance is accessed through the settings gear located next to the user's name. Clicking on the small gear will display the Logout option and the User Maintenance option depending on your permissions. The User Maintenance Module is only available to Administrators. Everybody must be entered in the system as a user, even if that person will never access the Gator Nursery System application. Creating A New User To create a new user you will need the users full name and address. The administrator will create a user name and a password for that user. If you do not give that user administrator status they will not be able to change their own password. Administrators can edit all information for any given user. 48

Granting Permissions When you set up a new account you can set the permissions for each module individually. You can set the permissions for each module to either: None - The user will not be able to view that module Read - The user will be able to view the module, but not make any changes or add any items Read/Writer - The user will be able to view the module and add items and make changes By default all permissions are set to None. CHAPTER 3 Gator Nursery System

Roles When creating a new user you will need to set that user account as an: Is Admin Is Active Is Technician When setting up a new user you must select at least one of these options. By default the Is Active role is selected. 50
