2 1 Getting started with the Waves wallet 1) Launch the customized Waves Lite Client for Darcrus and Mercury We have created a Sigwo Technologies branded Waves wallet that shows your Darcrus and Mercury assets on the dashboard. The testing of using Mercury as fee instead of Waves is in development and will be implemented after the next Waves release. You can find the web wallet at If you would like to have the app on your desktop, follow these steps (Windows only): a) Open Chrome and visit b) Click on the 3-dot stack on the right (the Hamburger icon ), go to More tools and select Add to desktop. c) Ensure the Open as window box is checked and click on the Add button. d) Now you have the Sigwo Technologies wallet app on your desktop. Double click to launch. e) The desktop app is a shortcut view of the Sigwo Technologies wallet website. So if gets an update, the desktop app will be automatically updated. 3 2) Create a new Waves account - Click on new account. - Read the notice and click on I understand. - Now the following screen appears: 3

4 - Save the SEED (series of 15 random English words). This is the private key to the address used to store your Darcrus tokens. Without the SEED backup, you will not be able to recover your Darcrus, Mercury or any other stored tokens. So write it down on a piece of paper or alternatively, securely save the SEED in an encrypted document in a password manager or on a safely stored offline medium. You will also need the SEED if you lose your password. - Give the account a name (optional). - Create a complex password. The password has two purposes: First, it encrypts the SEED locally, so the SEED is never sent to the network unprotected. Second, your account will be cached so you don't have to import the SEED every time you want to log in. The password secures that only you can log into your cached account. If you forget your password, you can simply delete the cached account, import the SEED and set a new password. - Click on register. - Optional security verification steps - ensure that you can recover your account! Verify that you have properly saved your Waves account details: a) Log out of your Waves account. b) Remove the account you just created. c) Click on import account, enter your SEED and click on register account. d) Enter your name (optional). e) Create a password. f) Click on register. g) If you want to test your password, log out of your Waves account again. h) Click on your Waves address and log in with your password. 4

5 - Once you have entered your password you will be logged into your Waves account. You see the dashboard with your Darcrus and Mercury tokens and you can find your Waves address at the top of your screen. 3) Important tips - Store your SEED securely. It is important because as long as you have your SEED, you can restore your account and choose a new password by using the import account function. You can do this even if you forgot your original password. As long as you are signed into your wallet, you can retrieve your SEED by clicking on the Backup button at the top right of the wallet. - You can also use the import account function and your SEED to set up the Waves wallet in another browser or switch to the official Waves wallet on your PC or mobile device. - If you lose access to both your SEED and password you will permanently lose your tokens. Sigwo Technologies will not be responsible for any losses incurred. 5

6 - Don t be tricked! Use verified tokens only. Since Waves is a decentralized system, anyone can make a token with the same or similar name to Darcrus or Mercury with intent to defraud users. So always check the asset IDs. NB. Recently Waves has removed the green checkmarks in the original Waves wallet as in their opinion the verification process shouldn t be centralized in any way. Now, they will only check for unique names of new assets. In the Sigwo Technologies wallet, the green checkmarks will still be used for a few well known assets. We do not plan to add any more green checkmarks to tokens within our wallet. - For more background information about Waves and its wallet you can visit the Waves website ( Waves wiki ( or Waves support platform ( 6

7 2 Trading at Waves DEX All tokens are tradable against all other tokens on Waves DEX. You can trade right from within your own wallet without the need of a centralized exchange. All trades have a transaction fee of Waves (in the future it will be possible to use Mercury as transaction fee in our wallet, instead of Waves), independent of the amount of tokens you want to buy or sell. If you don t have any Waves yet, you have the following options: a) Buy some Waves at Bittrex or another exchange and send them to your Waves address. b) In case you already have some other assets in your Waves wallet like Darcrus or Mercury, buy Waves at Waves DEX using these assets. Normally you can only place orders at Waves DEX if you can pay the Waves fee. But there is one exception: buying Waves with other assets. In this case you place a buy order for Waves and the Waves fee will be subtracted from the amount bought, afterwards. So you can first sell a small portion of Darcrus or Mercury for Waves, and then subsequently start trading the DAR/BTC cq MER/BTC (or any other) pairs. - To start trading, go to the Waves Decentralized Exchange tab (3 rd from the left). The default pair is DAR/BTC and on the right there are some default favorite pairs you can choose from. 7

8 - If you are looking for another pair, type the name of the token you want to trade in the text field. A list appears with the verified tokens with the green checkmark on top, from which you can select your token. Don t trade tokens without the green checkmark and as final check, always look at the asset ID! 8

9 - The page of your selected pair appears with the graph of recent orders, the order book and the trade history. To buy Darcrus, put the price in bitcoin you want to buy them for in the price in Bitcoin field and the amount you want to buy in the Darcrus amount field. The total price will be automatically calculated and shown. 9

10 - If you click on Buy, a notice appears in the right top corner and the order will be executed if it matches the price of a sell order in the order book, otherwise your bid will be added to the order book and will also appear in My orders. - If you want to cancel your order you can click on the x on the right hand side. - Placing a sell order works the same way. - Unfortunately, Waves DEX doesn t have an order archive yet that tracks all of your open orders. So if you place a buy or sell order, you will have to remember the pair yourself. The same accounts for the trading history and the orders will also disappear in the My order table after some time. 10

11 3 Off-exchange swap from Nxt to Waves token If you had your Darcrus stored with Bittrex on September 15 th 2017, your Nxt tokens were automatically swapped to Waves tokens and you can withdraw them to your Waves address until October 27 th If you still have your Darcrus in the Nxt wallet, you can swap them by using one of the two methods on our swap site You have until December 31 st 2017 to convert your Nxt Darcrus into Waves Darcrus. Any Darcrus not claimed before that date will be donated to the Darcrus development and marketing fund. On January 1 st 2018 the site will also go offline. 12 4 Withdrawing Darcrus from Bittrex Be sure you withdraw your Darcrus tokens before October 27 th 2017 (14 days after the official delisting date). - Go to your Bittrex wallet page and search for Darcrus. - Click on the - and the following form appears: 12

13 - Copy your Waves address by clicking on it at the top of your Waves wallet and paste it in the upper field. - Fill in the amount of DAR you want to withdraw. - Click on Withdrawal and confirm with your 2FA code. In case you haven t enabled 2FA yet, you will have to confirm the withdrawal via the Bittrex sends you. Be wise, enable 2FA on Bittrex! 13
