2 All About Apple: Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California. Apple designs, develops, and sells a variety of consumer electronics, computer software, and online services. Apple is known for its extravagant and sumptuous appealing electronics and is one of the leading branding companies currently in the world. Apple was founded by a man named Steve Jobs in the year To this day Apple is the world s largest information technology company by revenue and the world s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer, after Samsung. Through the beginning of this small computer manufacturing company, Apple developed their electronic company over the years exponentially, by progressing exceedingly well with their technology and services they offer to their consumers. Until this day, Apple primarily dominates the smart phone platform due to their intricate and opulent design and technology (features) offered in their devices. The rate of profit Apple is earning estimates in the billions, which therefore makes this electronic company one of the most successful electronic company s in appealing to their consumers and in smart-device creation. 3 History Of Apple: The evolution of computers and seemingly advanced technological devices all started by two high school dropouts who obtained a desire to pursue in developing a user -friendly computer so people can have in their homes. These two man where named Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Jobs and Wozniak started out building Apple 1 in their garage and sold them without a monitor, keyboard, or casing (which they decided to add in 1977). Apple 2 revolutionized the computer industry with the very first colour-graphics computer. Apple sales rose from $7.8 million (1978) to $100 million (1980) and that s the year Apple became public. Wozniak left the business due to the diminishing interests in the day -to-day running of Apple computers. Once this occurred, Jobs hired PepsiCo's John Sculley for president, which unfortunately went down -hill for Jobs. Although, this led Sculley to finding his own company NeXT Software. Throughout the rest of the 1980 s Apple was doing well and in 1990, Apple posted its highest profits yet. Although, in 1985, Sculley turned down a deal posed by Bill Gates to license its software with Apple. Windows operating system (OS) became a major competitor with Apple in the late 1980 s an throughout the 1990 s, due to the Microsoft operating system having a similar graphical interface with Apple. Over the course of a few years, Apple s shares suffered slowly after its peak in 1990 and It was not until 1997 that Apple realized they needed an operating system to compete with the competitors, therefore they bought the NeXT Software (Job s company) and Steve Jobs was one the board of directors asked to help from. Jobs decided to make some revolutionizing changes to apple and forged an alliance with Microsoft to create Apple s newly popular operating system (Mac OS). Apple continued Steve Job s legacy by continuing to create newly advanced computers and decided to move towards the music technological development which formed Apple Music.
