6 Features and Enhancements The following are the enhancements of Seqrite MDM 1.4: Seqrite Mobile Device Management Console Provisioning Seqrite MDM Client with Android Device Ownership (ADO) Implemented the process to assign Seqrite MDM Client the device ownership. The Android devices can be ADO enabled if the device OS version is 7 or later. New policies are added: ADO Security policies. ADO Security policies: These policies are applicable to the devices with specific versions where the MDM client is the device owner. These policies are superscripted with D. ADO Security policies are as follows: a. Restrict User Accounts Modification b. Block USB Debug Mode c. Block App Control d. Restrict Adding New Profile e. Restrict Deleting User Profile f. Restrict Mobile Network Configuration g. Block Outgoing Calls h. Wi-Fi On Sleep Mode i. Block App Installation from Unknown Sources j. Block Notification Area Implemented new enrollment process using ADO (Android Device Ownership) for ADO enabled Android devices. The Enrollment with ADO Enablement option is added to the With selected list and Overview pages of Users and Devices. For this new enrollment process, first, the Android device must be ADO enabled by scanning the QR code on the new device or the device that is factory reset. This enrolment is support on Android device OS version 7 and later. The MDM Administrator can send enrollment request using ADO enablement process to the users and devices. Implemented System Kiosk Mode in app configuration System Kiosk Mode is applicable only to the ADO enabled devices where Seqrite MDM Client is the device owner. The ADO enabled device user can access only the single app added to the System Kiosk Mode. Copyright 2018 Quick Heal Technologies Ltd. 4

7 In case, if System Kiosk Mode and Launcher Kiosk Modes are enabled, then System Kiosk Mode settings will have high priority and be applicable. For non-ado devices, Launcher Kiosk mode settings will be applicable. In app configuration section, Settings is renamed as Launcher Setting and Launcher Setting is renamed as Branding. Seqrite MDM 1.4 does not support Windows and ios. Seqrite Mobile Device Management Client You can carry out below-mentioned functionalities on ADO Enabled devices: Enable System Kiosk Mode (without Launcher Installation). Silent installation and setup of Seqrite Launcher. Silent installation of custom apps on device (apps pushed from server). Silent upgradation for MDM Client and Seqrite Launcher. 8 Known Issues The following are the known issues of Seqrite MDM: Known issues for Android 7 (Nougat) and Android 8 (Oreo) for Non-ADO devices Reset Password / Unblock device command may not work Set Password / Screen Capture policy may not work Safe Mode and USB Block policy may not work Hard keys may not block on Seqrite launcher Known issues for Android 8 (Oreo) for Non-ADO devices Information on Overview tab missing Mobile Hotspot / Block Notification policy may not work Notification may be accessible on device block screen Device user cannot exit the launcher using passcode if the launcher has been reactivated after permanent exit. The Location service on the device must be enabled in High Accuracy Mode to get the best results of Geo fencing. The MDM client application may send multiple notifications for the defined fences. The communication between the MDM server and the device will be stopped if the Secure Zone option of the Lenovo device is activated. The Exclude dates option in Time fence will not function when the Fence Trigger option is set to OUT in fence configuration. After downloading any of the recommended applications, the MDM client will not redirect to any source type if MDM administrator has changed the application source type from Upload custom APK to Custom URL and vice-versa. Call/SMS logs Monitoring: Phone number and name are not available for all outgoing MMS. Video call logs are displayed as call logs for all the other devices except for the Samsung devices. Seqrite Launcher may show a behavioral inconsistency if the Launcher is reactivated after the Exit Duration. When the fence policy on MDM Client is updated multiple times, the updation may not reflect for some time. Blocking of websites based on Web categories may not work on default Internet browser of some of the devices (for example: Xiomi Redmi, Asus Zenfone, etc.). Blocking of websites may not work sometimes when user access the links/video of the whitelisted Web page. Copyright 2018 Quick Heal Technologies Ltd. 6

9 Seqrite Launcher may not work on some of the devices (for example: Xiomi Redmi, etc.). The Block Primary Microphone policy may not work for third party apps such as Hangouts, Skype, etc., for LENOVO devices. When devices are in fence and if the Location Services policy on Samsung KNOX devices is updated multiple times, the updation may take some time. Auto Sync configuration will not work for the configurations defined under the fence. Seqrite MDM do not have control over the third-party wipe action. In case, if the third-party app wipes the data from the device, the MDM app will be uninstalled and the user s data will also be deleted. MDM client & launcher both should have a same version after upgrade. If both the MDM client & launcher have mismatched version, then issues may occur. Device user has to Scan QR Code two times if Google Account is not configured on the device at the time of Enrollment. Hard factory reset is not blocked in case of device owner.
