2 Abstract: The main scope of the project is to bring an interaction between people those who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. They can t use their hands. Instead of that if they want to communicate and use computers we can use their eye ball movement to capture so that they can handle mouse and keyboard movements. As of now the little mouse actions such as move up,left, right have been captured since the sensor cannot detect eye movements accurately. By choosing accurate sensors the full mouse action can be brought instead of stepping into Human computer Interaction technology which is expensive. Aim: The aim of the project is to interaction between the user and the computer those who can t use their hands. Introduction: Here the Microcontroller used is ATMEL AT89S52,ADC bit analog to digital converter, Max 232 which is used for serial communication(it receives signal from Microprocessor and converts the logic voltage level in which the computer operates) Proposed Work: As of now the 8 bit microcontroller is programmed and it s ready. Program in Java is also ready. Only 4 actions have been brought
3 because the sensor we use here is Infrared Sensor. In future I am planning to work on full mouse and keyboard action capabilities. Working Principles: By getting user input the program is embedded in microcontroller. The values may range from as it is a 8bit controller 2^8.For my eye the value ranges from and etc. Embedded C program is written and fed inside the microcontroller. In the java program similarly the ranges are written and suppose if the values are mismatched the motion won t be detected. If the values match the motion will be detected which will take place because of Level Controller IC 232. By getting user input the program is embedded in microcontroller.
