1 Summary Listing of Ohio LTAP elearning Courses In recent years, the Ohio Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Center has added many online courses also called elearning, or Web-based training (WBT) to its roster of available training opportunities. The following pages provide a summary listing of nearly 200 online courses that are currently available from the Ohio LTAP elearning system. The general topic categories include: Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Environmental (ODOT Office of Environmental Services OES) Local Public Agency (LPA) Project Administration QuickClear Training Road Diets Roadway Departure Countermeasures Rural Ohio Transit Training SICOP and TC3 Courses from (Various) These online courses are housed in Ohio LTAP s elearning system (CourseMill). Customers can access them free of charge, simply by establishing a MyODOT username and password. Instructions are provided on the LTAP elearning webpage. After signing in at the Login page, click on the Course Catalog tab (see pages 1 through 10). Click on the green + sign to enroll in a course; then go to the My Courses tab and click on the Launch Course icon (orange arrow) to start the training. While most customers have no difficulties enrolling in a course, and then are able to successfully launch the course to proceed with the training, there are occasional situations where a specific elearning course might fail to launch due to incompatibility issues with the user s computer or network settings. Click here for an easy solution to help resolve access issues. There are several ways in which online courses can be used by a variety of employees and agencies. In some cases, successful completion of a specific online course might be a mandatory requirement as part of a training plan, program, pre-requisite, etc. In other cases, an employee might simply be interested in learning more about a variety of topics in the interest of increasing their general knowledge. Click here to learn more about use of elearning to supplement workforce training. P a g e 1 of 10
