2 United mbank - Mobile Banking service OBJECTIVE: This user guide is aimed to acquaint the customer in registering, activating and using UNITED mbank, the application based mobile Banking service launched by United Bank of India. 1. CUSTOMER REGISTRATION: i. To avail mobile banking service the Customer will have to register for mobile banking by submitting the duly filled up application form available with the Branch and also in the website of the bank ii. Before submitting the application following details must be checked properly a) Name of the branch b) Customer s name c) Mobile no d) Savings/Current account no. /no.s e) Signature iii. After Successful registration and verification by the Branch the Customer will receive two SMS on the registered mobile number containing the GPRS link to download the mobile banking application and mobile banking credential (application password & mpin). 2

3 Application Based Mobile Banking 1. ACTIVATION OF THE SERVICE : i. The Customer can download and install the mobile banking application using the GPRS link received in SMS on successful registration. Alternatively the application can be downloaded and installed from the Mobile & SMS Banking section in the website of the Bank ii. iii. iv. Restart the mobile phone after installation of the application before proceeding for activation of service. Open the application. Select Sign in. 3

4 v. Select New user. vi. Enter the application password. vii. Enter new application password and confirm. viii. Enter the mpin. ix. Enter new mpin and confirm x. Select communication mode SMS or GPRS. xi. Go To My setup customer profile update xii. After successful execution of the above steps the services can be used from main menu. 2. SERVICES: i. Balance enquiry: The customers will be able to view the real time account balance through this application. Steps:- Select Balance enquiry under Banking Select the a/c. Scroll down to select other account if multiple accounts are configured for m-banking enter mpin balance of the selected a/c will be received in the application message response. 4

5 ii. Mini Statement: The customer will be able to view the last 8 transactions through this application. Steps:- Select mini statement under Banking Select the a/c. enter mpin last 8 transactions will be will be received in the application message response. iii. Fund Transfer (Within Bank): a) Mobile to Mobile Fund Transfer: This service can be used to transfer fund to other mobile banking registered Customers of the Bank. 1) Beneficiary registration: Select Fund Transfer from Banking Within bank mobile to mobile payment beneficiary registration enter mpin enter beneficiary mobile no enter beneficiary nick name verify beneficiary details & confirm After completion of the registration beneficiary details will appear on the screen 2) Fund Transfer : Select Fund Transfer from Banking Within bank mobile to mobile payment Select Debit A/c enter mpin select beneficiary enter the amount confirm the beneficiary name and amount Transaction status will be received in the application message response. 5

6 b) Mobile to Account Fund Transfer: In case if the beneficiary is not a mobile Banking customer mobile to account Fund Transfer can be done. 1) Beneficiary registration: Select Fund Transfer from Banking Within bank mobile to account payment beneficiary registration enter mpin enter beneficiary account no enter beneficiary nick name verify beneficiary details & confirm After completion of the registration beneficiary details will appear on the screen 2) Fund Transfer : Select Fund Transfer from Banking Within bank mobile to account payment Select Debit a/c enter mpin select beneficiary enter the amount confirm the beneficiary name and amount Transaction status will be received in the application message response. iv. Fund Transfer to Other Bank (NEFT):- Inter Bank Fund Transfer will be through NEFT. 1) Beneficiary registration: Select Fund Transfer from Banking To other bank NEFT beneficiary registration enter mpin enter beneficiary account no & IFSC code of the bank, beneficiary nick name verify beneficiary details & confirm After completion of the registration beneficiary details will appear on the screen 2) Fund Transfer : Select Fund Transfer from Banking To other bank NEFT Select Debit a/c enter mpin Select beneficiary Enter the amount confirm the beneficiary name and amount Transaction status will be received in the application message response. 6

Fund Transfer to Other Bank (IMPS):- Inter Bank Fund Transfer will be through IMPS also. a) Generation of MMID : Steps: - Select Interbank Mobile Payment Service from Banking Generate MMID Enter mpin Select Account Generated MMID will be received in application message response. b) Know your MMID : Steps: - Select Interbank Mobile Payment Service from Banking Know your MMID Enter mpin Single / All Select Account MMID will be received in application message response c) Fund transfer process through IMPS: Mobile banking users can perform IMPS transaction with and without registering the beneficiary. 1) Registred IMPS : Using this service the Customer can transfer fund to registered beneficiary. The beneficiary registration is a one time process as stated above and thereafter the fund can be transferred using the details registered. Beneficiary registration: Select Interbank Mobile Payment Service from Banking Registered IMPS Beneficiary Registration Enter mpin enter Beneficiary mobile no, Beneficiary MMID, Beneficiary nick name beneficiary name,mobile no, & MMID appear on the screen verify beneficiary details & confirm registered beneficiary details will appear on the screen Fund Transfer : Select Interbank Mobile Payment Service from Banking Registered IMPS IMPS payment Select the debit a/c enter mpin Select beneficiary Enter the amount Confirm the beneficiary name and amount Transaction status received in application message response. 7

8 2) Quick IMPS: This service can be used for one time transfer of fund without registering the beneficiary. Steps:- Interbank Mobile Payment Service Quick IMPS Select the debit a/c Enter mpin enter Beneficiary mobile no, Beneficiary MMID, Amount Transaction status received in application message response. 8

9 vi. Stop Cheque: Using this service any unpaid cheque issued to the Customer account can be stopped.. Steps: Select Stop cheque from the Banking Select the a/c enter mpin enter cheque no Transaction status received in application message response. vii. Cheque Status: Using this service the status of any cheque issued to the Customer account can be known. Steps: Select cheque status from the Banking Select the a/c enter mpin enter cheque no Transaction status received in application message response 9

10 viii. Other Services: a) ATM locator ( by pin code / location) : This service will display the address of the ATM based on the inputs like PIN code or the area/city name. Steps: Select ATM/Branch Locator from other services Select ATM enter mpin Enter Pin code or location name ATM location will be received in application message response.. b) Branch Locator (by pin code / location): This service will display the address of the Branch based on the inputs like PIN code or the area/city name. Select ATM/Branch Locator from other services Select Branch enter mpin Enter Pin code / location name select the address Branch address will be received in application message response. ix. Payments: a) Mobile recharge: Using this service the Customer can recharge his prepaid mobile account with topup amount. This service is presently supported by selected Telco.s in selected telecom circles. Steps:- Select Mobile recharge from Payments Select the a/c. enter mpin enter the mobile no for recharge enter amount (Min Rs. 10 ) Transaction status received in application message response In case of decline of transaction from the Telco, the amount will be reversed to the customer 10

11 x. Recharge status enquiry: Customers will be able to know the status of mobile recharge that has been done on any mobile no through mobile banking. Steps:- Select recharge status enquiry from Payments enter mpin enter the mobile to know the status of recharge status of mobile recharge will be received in application message response 11

12 b) Movie Ticketing: Using this service the Customer can book Movie tickets. Steps:- Select Payments from main menu Select Ticketing from Payments menu Select Movie Ticketing from Ticketing Select the a/c. Enter mpin Enter City /Town Enter Language Enter no of tickets Enter Date (optional) in ddmmyyyy format Select theater Select Flim (Movie) Select Date Select Time Select Price Confirm Transaction Status of transaction will displayed on the screen & Conformation will be also sent via and SMS In case of decline of transaction, the amount will be reversed to the customer 12

My Setup: a) Communication mode: Using this option the customer can change the communication mode to either GPRS or SMS. b) Inbox in memory: By enabling this option the customer can permanently save the application message response in the application inbox up to memory available. c) Configure ID: Using this option the customer can update his/her id in the mobile banking system. Configuration of id is mandatory for transactions like Movie Ticketing. d) Change application password: Using this option the customer can change his/her application password. The application password should be changed on regular interval for security. e) Enable or disable transaction: Using this option the customer can enable or disable the services available in Mobile Banking. Select My Setup Enable or disable transaction enter mpin mark the services want to use/don t want to use settings will be saved f) Change mpin: Using this option the customer can change his/her mpin. mpin should be changed on regular interval for security reason Reactivation: a) Choose Old user b) The customer will be asked to enter the application password Here the customer has to enter the existing password 14
