3 Welcome to the Cloud9 Installation Guide! By following these few simple steps, you will be ready to communicate using the powerful Cloud9 application, connect instantly with your counterparties, and gain access to a powerful directory of potential trading partners. 1. Installation Requirements for Cloud9 Technologies Trader Voice Solution To begin installation, users will need the following: Windows 7 or higher operating system Intel i5 or greater processor A built in sound device or USB sound device with playback (speakers) and recording (microphone). Cloud9 speaker and microphone devices are recommended, and have been optimized for the application. Internet access (wired or wireless) Google Chrome web browser 2. Download and Login Process 2.1 Using the Google Chrome browser, enter this address in the browser: This will download an executable file (.exe), which will appear at the bottom left corner of your Google Chrome window. Click to open this file and begin the download. 2.3 Once the application installs, enter your the User Name and Password. If this is your first time logging in, enter the User Name and Password you received in the welcome sent by Cloud9. The password you received is temporary, and you will need to change it to a personalized password of your choice. Page 2 of 4

4 There are also two options you can select when logging in: 1. Save your password: Your credentials will auto-fill when logging in. 2. I m Working Remotely: Select if you are working from a location outside of your office or desk. This disables the neighbor feature for co-workers who were programmed to your neighbor list and will allow you to communicate with them when you are outside of the office. 3. Initial Installation Steps 3.1 Hardware Set up: Make sure your Cloud9 audio equipment is plugged into the appropriate USB ports and/or analog Speaker and Microphone ports. NOTE: Our 3.5mm jack microphone will not work in a combo microphone/speaker (headset) port. These are typically mounted on laptops or tablet docking stations. 3.2 Audio Setup Microphone and Speaker Device The Audio Devices section of the settings menu will enable to you select those devices and configure them so that your voice is being transmitted clearly. The section is broken down into three segments: Microphone Audio, Handset Audio and Notification & Alert Devices. Page 3 of 4

5 In the Microphone Audio segment, select your microphone and speaker devices via their respective drop down menus. Adjust the volume of your microphone using the slider below the microphone drop down to suit your environment and ensure no background noise is picked up. Additional audio boost can also be added to amplify your voice once it s picked up by the microphone. To test your microphone, begin speaking. Make sure the Volume bar under the chosen microphone device fills with a gradient of white to green. To test your speaker, click the play button under the speaker drop down. 3.3 Audio Setup Handset Device The Handset Audio settings enable you to configure a handset if you choose to use one. Select both the microphone and speaker that are associated with the handset in the dropdowns. The volume can be adjusted to fit the surrounding environment. To test your handset, begin speaking. Make sure the Volume bar under the chosen microphone device fills with a gradient of white to green. To test your handset speaker, click the play button under the speaker drop down. 3.4 Audio Setup Notification and Alert Device In the Notification & Alert Device segment, you can select the device that will transmit a ring when someone is signaling on a ringdown connection.
