1 Introduction to Breeze The Breeze software (a.k.a. Adobe Acrobat Connect) is the complete web communications solution that enables live, interactive web meetings, virtual classes, ondemand presentations and courses, and group collaboration. It allows organizations to effectively share a wide range of content, including Microsoft PowerPoint slides, live and recorded video, Adobe Flash content, live screen sharing, application sharing, audio, and multiuser text chat. Running on ubiquitous Adobe Flash Player software, already installed on more than 98% of Internet enabled desktops, Acrobat Connect enables easy access to live sessions with no software downloads. Click on the link that you received from the meeting organizer or enter the URL in your web browser. 2. At the Breeze Login screen (Fig. 1), enter guest in the NetID box, leave the Password box empty, then click Login. 3. Type your name in the box, then click Enter Room. 4. You will see a Connecting progress screen, then your Breeze Connect meeting room should display.
2 5. The first time you use Breeze Connect, you should see a yellow message instructing you to install the Acrobat Connect Add In. Click Install, then click Yes in the security window. Note: If your web browser does not have the Adobe Flash Player plug in installed, Breeze will direct you to the website to download it: ( ockwaveflash&promoid=buigp) Initial Setup: Camera, Microphone, and Connection Speed Camera The first time you use Breeze Connect on your computer, you need to select your Camera (if you have one connected). You should only need to do this the first time you use Breeze Connect. 1. Click the Meeting menu and click Select Camera. (Fig. 2) 2. Select your installed camera from the drop down menu. 3. 3 Microphone The first time you use Breeze Connect on your computer, you should adjust your audio settings for optimal performance. You should only need to do this the first time you use Breeze Connect. Figure 3 Audio Setup Wizard 1. Click the Meeting menu and select Audio Setup Wizard. (Fig. 3) 2. Step 0: Click Next. 3. Step 1: Click Test to make sure your speakers or headset is working. Click Next. 4. Step 2: Select your microphone from the drop down menu. 5. Step 3: Read the instructions on the screen to test your microphone. Click Next. 6. Step 4: Read the instructions on the screen and click Test Silence when ready. Click Next. 7. Step 5: Click Finish. Connection Speed The first time you use Breeze Connect on your computer, you need to specify your connection speed. You should only need to do this the first time you use Breeze Connect. 1. Click the Meeting menu and select My Connection Speed. 2. Select DSL/Cable if you connect from home. Select LAN if you connect from work.

Click the Send message button to send your message, or press Enter. 3. To send a message to someone specific, choose their name from the To: list before sending.
5 Share Your Camera Figure 5 Start Camera and Voice button 1. Click the Start my camera and voice button (Fig. 5). [If security screen appears click Allow to share your camera.] 2. Click the Pause camera button to freeze your camera s image. 3. Click the Hold to talk button (Fig. 6). When you want to speak, press and hold this button while you talk, and release when you finish speaking. 4. Click the Hands free button (the lock button next to the Hold to talk button) to keep your microphone button on at all times. Figure 6 Hold to talk button
