Mobile Health [mhealth]- the delivery of healthcare services via mobile communications devices mhealth describes a broad range of telecommunications and multimedia technologies within a wireless care delivery architecture. It s more than a communications channel - it refers to the delivery, facilitation, and management of health-related information via mobile tools including cell phones, tablets, sensors, monitors, and wireless infrastructure in general.

Security multi factor authentication, data encryption, loss or theft of devices. Regulatory Compliance FDA, FCC, CMS, HIPAA, HITECH.. Technology form factor, reliability of wireless networks, lack of Uniform Standards. Capacity, Compatibility and Connectivity bandwidth strain, management of many, many mobile devices, integration with legacy systems, competing platforms.

Culture Change Patient Centric: a recognition that each patient has a unique preference in care delivery, motivation to achieve health goals, and be an active member of their care team. Stakeholder Collaboration: recasting the culture of skepticism and parochialism that has hamstrung healthcare finance and delivery with a culture of trust and cooperation. New Provider-Patient Touch points: both providers and patients will need to adjust to digital health (e-visits, messaging, monitoring) as a principal tool of care continuity.
