14 Glossary of Terms Used: What do these mean: : the full amount of the course remains the same no matter how paying for course with either payment plan or with a : Paying the course cost via a payment plan paid fortnightly usually on credit card. Lists the number of fortnights needed to pay off the total course cost : paying the course fees with a loan from the government. Lists the amount for each qualification : the amount allowed by the government for each qualification () per : The amount over the student loan limit to pay the full course cost. s must pay this gap. Fees are due for the trimester. Paid either upfront for the trimester or over a payment plan fortnightly. This is the out of pocket amount due for the subjects (VUS) covered in that trimester that is not covered by the s. Total - : The total gap is the amount of your course that is over the amount you can get a for. You can pay this amount via a payment plan, paid fortnightly. *Double & Triple Qualifications: 2 or 3 qualifications are awarded. By completing a few extra units (subjects) means you gain 2 or 3 qualifications at the same time. You also save a heap of money, compared to paying for the courses individually. s who enrol in the first qualification may also enrol in the extra units needed from the 2 nd qualification to also qualify for that 2 nd qualification. Units from the 1 st qualification when completed are used as credits towards the 2 nd qualification. Enrol in both or all listed qualifications. Academic Calendar: Global Training Institute offers a Flexible self-paced format of study, allowing a student to enrol on any given day, so no set study periods apply as a whole college. College is closed for 2 weeks over Christmas. Duration: Certificate IV = 12 months: includes 8 weeks holidays at the end - 44 academic weeks (3 trimesters). Diploma = 12 months: includes 8 weeks holidays at the end - 44 academic weeks (3 trimesters). Advanced Diploma = 18 months: includes 12 weeks holidays at the end 66 academic weeks (3 trimesters) Rolling Start Dates - At Global Training Institute, we have rolling start dates, which means you can enrol into and start your course on any business day (Monday to Friday) of the year from mid-january to mid-december! No waiting for the next semester and no worrying about missing the next intake, we can start you in the course you like, when you like.

15 Certificate IV Courses and Non- Approved Courses: s are enrolled into, and have access to all of their Units at the commencement of their course. Fees are due and invoiced for the whole course at the commencement of the course (often paid as a payment plan over the course duration). Approved Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses: To comply with our Approved College requirements, s are enrolled into their Units in a trimester format (3 blocks of units) spread evenly over the duration of the academic period of the course, to match the required 3 fee periods. Fees are due for that trimester (block of units), at the beginning of the trimester. If a student completes their trimester block of units early, they can request entry into the next block, using the Early Completion Form. If no early completion request is made, students will be automatically enrolled into the next block (trimester) at the below timings. Diploma Qualifications: Access 1 Units: Week 1; 2 Units: Week 14; 3 units: Week 28 Advanced Diploma Qualifications: Access 1 Units: Week 1; 2 Units: Week 22; 3 units: Week 44 NB. All Tuition fees must be paid before any qualification will be issued; or proportionally for any Statement of Attainments issued. Start Date: The students start date is the date supplied with any Confirmation of Enrolment. For Approved Courses, the start date is the date that the Course Application form is received at GTI. s Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses *Double & Triple Qualifications using a to pay for some or all of your fees: Each qualification is treated individually. You will need to have a for each qualification that you are undertaking and paying some or all of the amount with the. Eg. Diploma of Business + Diploma of Business Administration = 2 x s (1 for each qualification) Diploma of Business + Diploma of Business Administration + Diploma of Local Government = 2 x s because Diploma of Local Government is not eligible for a loan.

Unit of Study (VUS): Each course is divided into 3 x Units of Study, which are a group of accredited units (subjects) that you need to complete to finish the course. AT GTI, the units you complete in a equals the Unit of Study Application: You only need complete the s application once for each qualification that you are studying. The one application covers all vet units of study and subjects in your course. VUS Start Dates: This date is calculated from your Confirmed Enrolment Date. Diploma Qualifications VUS start dates: VUS1: Week 1; VUS2: Week 14; VUS3: Week 28 Advanced Diploma Qualifications VUS start dates: VUS1: Week 1; VUS2: Week 22; VUS.3: Week 44 VUS Census Date: This is the date that you incur your personal loan debt (that must be paid back through your taxes with the ATO, when you reach the repayment tax amount). The Census date is the last date for you to apply for a s to pay for the tuition fees for the subjects in that Unit of Study. It is also the last date in which you can withdraw from the Vet Unit of Study before you incur a debt for the applicable tuition fees. The census date will be 20% of the way through each VUS, as calculated from your VUS Start Date to the Completion Date for each VUS. VUS End Date: This is the final date you will need to complete the subjects in the Unit of Study by. You may complete that unit earlier if you wish. However, if you do not complete the subjects by the VUS End Date, but you are still progressing ok and wish to continue, you will need to apply for an extension.
