1 Quality Assurance Associate in Applied Science Technology Division Office: Regional Technology Center M-TEC RTC2700 Phone: (810) The Quality Assurance program is designed to give students the technical and practical knowledge to enter the field of manufacturing or service as a quality professional. The student will learn the latest quality concepts and techniques used in modern facilities. Students will gain knowledge in process control, team problem solving, statistical methods, measurements, cost of quality, management concepts and employee involvement. See Notes below for more information Expand all " Preferred Classes" links The Business/Quality Assurance Option is designed for the student who would like a second area of concentration while completing their primary course of study. The Dual Track Business/Quality Assurance degree is a unique program at Mott Community College. Students in the Business Administration or Business Management areas may have a second area of concentration - that of Quality Assurance. Students in the Quality Assurance field, may satisfy the requirements for a Business Administration or Business Management Degree. The key to this integrated program is completion of the core requirements for each of the appropriate Associate Degrees. Option I satisfies only the requirements under the traditional Quality Assurance Degree. Option II lists the requirements for Dual Track degrees. Students who enrolled prior to Fall 2002 may choose to fulfill these requirements or those in effect when they first enrolled. Those requirements may be found in previous catalogs or by checking with an advisor or counselor. B. A student may qualify to skip ENGL 101 and go directly to ENGL 102 by scoring 24 on the English part of the ACT, or 590 on verbal part of the SAT, or 115 on the placement test along with a reading level of grade 13 or higher and applying for and passing a special writing exam. C. Students may satisfy this requirement by passing the MCC computer literacy test. D. Students may substitute ENGL 101 & English Composition I & II with ENGL 101 & Technical Writing Emphasis I & II.
