Operation of CNC Machining Centers In this course, students will study CNC operations with an emphasis on vertical machining centers. Operation of CNC Turning Centers This course is a study of CNC operations with an emphasis on turning centers. Computer Numerical Controls Study of numerical controlled machine operations in a CAM/CIM environment. Emphasis on standard and computer numerical controlled (CNC) procedures for planning, preparing, and operating a computer-assisted machine. Purchasing for Hospitality Operations The student will study purchasing and inventory management of foods and other supplies to include development of purchase specifications, determination of order quantities, formal and informal price comparisons, proper receiving procedures, storage management and issue procedures. Emphasis on product cost analysis, yields, pricing formulas, controls, and record keeping at each stage of the purchasing cycle. Basic Food Prep A study of the development or regional cuisine s in the United States with emphasis on the similarities in production and service systems. Dining Room Service The course will introduce the principles, concepts, and systems of professional table service. Nutrition and Diet Therapy This course introduces general nutritional concepts in health and disease and includes practical applications of that knowledge. Special emphasis is given to nutrients and nutritional processes including functions, food sources, digestion, absorption and metabolism. 13 Digital Media Production Skills Business and Industry Endorsement Courses Included in the Program TV Station Production This course will cover basic television production planning and techniques including video, audio and lighting equipment commonly used in a studio. Computer Applications for Media Production Students will learn about Computer applications for audio, video, graphics, budgets and scripts in media productions. Audio/Radio Production The concepts and techniques of sound production including basic recording, mixing and editing techniques will be covered in the course. TV Field Production In this course, student will learn about the pre-production, production, and post-production process involved in field television production. Topics include field camera setup and operation, field audio, television directing and in-camera or basic continuity editing with an emphasis on underlying principles of video technology. Film and Video Editing Students will learn about film and broadcast editing for the preparation and completion of shorts, trailers, documentaries and features.
