2 COURSE MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS DURATION & TIMINGS DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY PROGRAMMES 1. PhD Information Technology Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent from a recognized university 2. PhD Business Administration- OPTIONS - (Finance OR Strategic Management OR Marketing options) 3. PhD in Human Resource Management (HRM). 4. PhD in Development Studies. Bachelors degree 3 academic years Evening / MASTERS PROGRAMMES 1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) - (Finance OR Strategic Management, Accounting, Marketing Options] Bachelor s degree with at least Upper a recognized university OR Bachelor s degree with Lower second post qualification experience OR 2 academic years Evenings / 2. Masters in Development Studies (MDS) MASTER OF SCIENCE PROGRAMMES 1. Msc. in Project Management. 2. MSc. in Procurement and Contract. 3. MSc. in Human Resource Management. Bachelor s degree with at least Upper Bachelor s degree with Lower second post qualification experience. OR Bachelor s degree with at least Upper Bachelor s degree with Lower second post qualification experience. 2 academic years Evenings / 2 academic years Evening /

Msc. in Information & Knowledge management Bachelor s degree with at least Upper Bachelor s degree with Lower second class Honours plus at least THREE years post qualification experience. BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAMMES 1. Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) Entry requirements for other programmes: [Accounting, Finance, Marketing Options] 2. Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT). 3. Bachelor of Procurement and Contract Management (BP&C) KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) and grades C (plain) in Mathematics and English. OR KACE certificate with 2 Principal and 1 subsidiary passes, and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at KCE. OR Diploma in relevant discipline with credit pass from JKUAT or from an institution recognized by University Senate. 3 years Evenings 4. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSCIT) 5. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSCIT) - (YEAR II) KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) and grades C (plain) in Mathematics and English. OR KACE certificate with 2 Principal and 1 subsidiary passes, and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at KCE. OR Diploma in relevant discipline with credit pass from JKUAT or from an institution recognized by University Senate. Important Notes: Exemption from Year 1 requirements: CREDIT pass and above in diploma from JKUAT in a relevant discipline CREDIT pass and above in Diploma in relevant fields from other institutions recognized by the University Senate Holders of CPA/CPS/ACCA/CCP finalist (level 6) JKUAT DMIT/DIT OR ADIT, KSPS. OR KNEC DIPLOMA DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES MANAGEMENT /BUSINESS DIPLOMAS: KCSE mean grade C- (minus) with at least D+ (plus) in Maths and English. OR 18 Months

Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) CERTIFICATE COURSES 1. Certificate in Information Technology (CIT) 2. Bridging Course in Mathematics (BCM) KCE Division III with a pass in both Mathematics and English. OR CREDIT pass in any relevant certificate course with at least KCSE mean grade D+ (plus). KCSE C (plain) and C- (minus) in Maths and English OR Division II in KCE with credit passes in Maths and English or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Senate. A CREDIT pass in JKUAT IT Certificate. Be a holder of KCSE with minimum aggregate of C- (minus) Daytime 3 months WEEKDAYS KCSE 3 months WEEKDAYS CISCO NETWORKING ACADEMY PROGRAMME Linux essentials (Cisco Academy) KCSE and an interest in IT. (Those awaiting KCSE Three weeks SPSS Basics Computer basics 1 week boot camp All Computer Packages KCSE and an interest in IT. (Those awaiting KCSE Three weeks Teaching with Technology (ICT Skills for Primary School Teachers) Primary School Teachers One week boot camp IT Essentials: PC Hardware Software KCSE and an interest in IT. (Those awaiting KCSE Two weeks (A total of 70 hours CISCO Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) Module 1-4 (Each module takes 2 months) KCSE and an interest in IT with basic Computer Skills. (Those awaiting KCSE 2 weeks per module (70 hours / module) CISCO Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) Security Understanding of Computer Networking a prerequisite Two weeks (A total of 70 hours) MODE OF APPLICATION: 1. Applications will be made on prescribed forms obtained from the Campus upon payment of Non-refundable fees of Kshs 1,500/= for Ph.D, Masters, Postgraduate & Bachelor s degree Courses, 1,000/= for all Diploma Courses and Kshs. 500/= for Certificates.
