What's required to sell 2018 MA/MAPD and PDP plans You must successfully complete the Aetna Individual Medicare annual certification process and meet all contracting requirements prior to marketing or selling Aetna or Coventry Individual Medicare products (MA/MAPD and PDP) during the Annual Election Period for January 1 effective dates and throughout the year. NOTE: Contracting requirements include Face to Face training to sell MA products. Face to Face is not required for Ready to Sell status. For all those licensed and appointed in multiple states, you can attend a webinar in lieu of F2F training. What's required to receive renewal commission? To receive renewal commission next January for business sold in prior years, you must complete the annual certification process by December 31. You must also be licensed and appointed with us. MA/MAPD/PDP certification components 1. AHIP Medicare training and exam: This course has five modules. The final exam requires a passing score of 90% or better within three attempts and includes Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) training and a test. Yes, as long as you earn a score of 90% or better on the final exam within three attempts. You may transfer your existing AHIP certification to us through our certification site. You must still complete the other Aetna-specific requirements to finish the Aetna Individual Medicare annual certification process.

3 CARRIER PROCESS HELP / NOTES LAUNCH Sept. 1-5 ertification Blue Shield of California Complete your AHIP certification and Blue Shield product training today! 1. Log into to America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) site today! 2. Take Blue Shield's 2017 MA-PD and PDP product training. As always, once you pass both AHIP's and Blue Shield s training you'll be ready to sell. AHIP training will include a segment on Fraud, Waste, and Abuse and this training is required annually. 3. AHIP cost is $125, we will reimburse you up to $100 for the AHIP certification fee after you have completed and passed the necessary training and enrolled 5 Blue Shield MA-PD members.* To receive your reimbursement, please download the AHIP Certification Training Reimbursement Request form (PDF, 432KB) and completed form to medicarebroker@blueshieldca.com. Follow these two easy steps: Step 1: Complete AHIP certification. Log in to the AHIP site. Complete certification modules and quiz. After taking the quiz, transmit your results directly to Blue Shield by clicking the button at the bottom of the page. Producer Services BSCcertsupport@blueshieldca. com Step 2: Complete Blue Shield product training. After completing the AHIP certification, go to the Blue Shield product training site. Enter your National Producer Number (NPN). Your NPN is required for both AHIP certification and Blue Shield product training. Don't know your NPN? Click here to find it from the National Insurance Producer Registry. Complete the product training for the products you intend to sell: MA-PD, PDP or both (a passing grade 85% is required and limited to 5 attempts) We will reimburse you up to $100 for the AHIP certification fee after you have completed and passed the necessary training and enrolled five Blue Shield MA-PD members. Membership must be effective, and active for 60 days in the current plan year prior to submitting the form. Processing may take up to six weeks from the receipt of completed form.

4 NOTE: Per CMS guidelines, all independent agents who contact Medicare beneficiaries about MA-PD and/or PDP products must be trained and tested on Medicare compliance, specific health plan benefits and procedures, and CMS marketing requirements. If you were certified last year, you must renew your certification again this year prior to January 1, 2017 in order to receive renewal commission on your active book of business. In order to sell Blue Shield MA-PD and/or PDP products, you must be AHIP and Blue Shield product certified. If you are not certified to sell Blue Shield's MA- PD and PDP plans, we are not legally allowed to pay you commissions on that business. Already AHIP certified? Cigna HealthSpring 2018 Certifications: Returning Agents can complete their certification training online, while NEW Agents must complete both online training and face-to-face (in-person) training to be certified to sell Cigna-HealthSpring 2018 Medicare Advantage plans. We have also updated the Resource Library section of the Producers' University site to make information faster and easier to find. Resources and job aids are now organized by Pre-Sale, Sale, and Post-Sale, and you can also view market-specific resources via an interactive map Contract and Attestation Requirements Cigna-HealthSpring's simplified attestation process allows Agents and Agencies to complete all required contractual updates and attestations as part of our annual agent certification curriculum. Cigna-HealthSpring Agents and Agencies are required to complete the following contractual agreements and attestations: Subordinate Agent Agreement (all downline Agents and Agencies) Policies and Procedures (all Agents and Agencies) Rules of Engagement* (all Agents and Agencies) Social Media* (all Agents and Agencies) Note: Rules of Engagement and Social Media attestations are included in the Policies and Procedures attestation course. The Social Media attestation is new for This affirms you will adhere to section Social Media of the Medicare Managed Care Manual and not use the Cigna- HealthSpring name/logo without written approval. View the attestation online for complete details. Agents cannot begin 2018 certification training until all contractual agreements and attestations are complete. All Agents must complete re-contracting, attestation requirements, and certification by December 31, 2017 or he/she will forfeit renewal payments. 6 CARRIER PROCESS HELP / NOTES LAUNCH It's important to note this also means all Agencies have been assigned the Subordinate Agent Agreement as well as relevant attestations. Agencies must complete recontracting and attestation requirements by December 31, 2017, otherwise January 2018 payments will be withheld. Agencies who fail to complete these requirements by March 31, 2018 will forfeit payments. 8/2/17 All Agents have been assigned these attestations as part of their training requirements for 2018 o All agents are required to attest if you are licensed and appointed with Cigna- HealthSpring, regardless of whether or not you are actively selling All Agencies have also been assigned these attestations o o An agency representative (Compliance Officer, Compliance Contact, or Agency Principal) will need to log in with an agency admin login to attest on behalf of the agency If the agency representative is also licensed and appointed with Cigna-HealthSpring, he/she will also need to log in with their personal credentials to attest as an agent The commission schedule will be released later this year Certification Reimbursement As we have done in previous years, we are pleased to confirm we will reimburse certification costs for 2018 certification. To be eligible for reimbursement you need to complete your 2018 Certification by September 15, 2017 AND sell five (5) net January 1, 2018 effective applications, as outlined below: Complete AHIP Training and all Cigna-HealthSpring required courses to receive $125 reimbursement Complete Gorman Health Group Training and all Cigna-HealthSpring required courses to receive $99 reimbursement Complete Pinpoint Medicare Training and all Cigna-HealthSpring required courses to receive $89.95 reimbursement Note: if you previously completed and uploaded AHIP's 2018 training as part of your 2017 certification process, you will need to upload your 2018 AHIP certificate again to satisfy 2018 certification requirements.

7 CARRIER PROCESS HELP LAUNCH Humana AHIP: If an agent has not yet completed for 2018, they will be prompted to register and complete the course The agent will receive a discounted rate of $125 A passing score of 90% is required for AHIP and 85% for Humana MAPD/PDP test Agents will be given 3 attempts to pass either AHIP or Humana tests. To transfer your AHIP score to Humana log into Humana Marketpoint University and access AHIP through the portal. The data connection will transfer your score. Humana offers AHIP reimbursement if the following is met: - Agent must complete the courses through the Humana portal - Agent must successfully enroll 10 MA or 40 PDP Jan. 1 effective members - Members must be accreted with CMS by March 3,2018 Agents can choose to take certification courses online or face to face. Face to face is not a requirement. Although it is strongly encouraged, it is not a requirement that nonwriting principals certify in order to receive overrides. Agents who certify for 2018 on or after July 11, 2017 do not need to recertify for 2018 NOTE: New agents must wait 1 day after their contract has been approved for courses to show in the agent portal. 9 CARRIER PROCESS HELP LAUNCH SilverScript AHIP/Gorman Training Agents who have passed AHIP s 2018 Medicare Part C and D training don't need to take SilverScript s Medicare Overview course, our Compliance course, or the CMS FWA course. Agents will still need to complete the SilverScript Product & Process course via the SilverScript Agent Portal in early August. Continue reading to see how you can submit your AHIP training credits to SilverScript. SilverScript now has a direct relationship with the AHIP training website. Agents who have completed 2018 initial training and/or annual re-training certifications through AHIP can click on this link to have core Part D training results submitted to SilverScript. The submitted results will automatically give you credit for completing the SilverScript Insurance Company Medicare Overview course, the SilverScript Compliance course, and the CMS Compliance and FWA course. All it takes is one click on this link: Just log in to the SilverScript AHIP page and your training transcript will automatically be linked to SilverScript. We download daily reports to update the AHIP certifications, Monday-Friday. Please note that you don t have to purchase or complete the training through the SilverScript link, but you will have to access the SilverScript site and log in with your AHIP credentials to have your scores accessible by SilverScript. Agents will still need to complete the SilverScript Product & Process course via the SilverScript Agent Portal in early August. To receive credit for your Gorman coursework once you've completed SilverScript training, please submit your 2018 Medicare Part D certificate of completion by: Uploading the certificate to Silver Mail (upper left corner of the Portal) ing your certificate to Producer.SalesResource@Caremark.com with "Gorman Training Certificate" and your SilverScript Agent ID in the subject line. FAXing your certificate to We ll process your Gorman credit within 5 business days. You ll see a score of 98. That's the indicator that you received credit for completing the Gorman curriculum. 10 PROCESS HELP LAUNCH How to access Silverscript Certification Curriculum As the training module begins to load you may see random Internet system messages referencing an error trying to log you into the course. Do not be concerned by these messages. Within a few seconds the CourseMill window will open and take you immediately to the My Courses page. Click the green and white icon to access the course list. After you click the icon, a list of the assigned training courses will appear. Start each course by clicking the blue and white launch icon next to the course name. After you complete a course and pass the exam you will be directed back to the My Courses page. Repeat the steps above until you complete all the required courses. Do not attempt courses for which you have requested that SilverScript apply your AHIP or Gorman credit. 11 CARRIER PROCESS HELP LAUNCH UHC To begin 2018 UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement certification using AHIP, complete the following steps: 1. Log in to 2. Click Knowledge Center 3. Click on Certification (Left-hand navigation menu) 4. Click 2018 AHIP (EDC Only) 5. Select OK to the following two pop-up messages 6. Click Launch 7. Sign on with your AHIP username and password OR register if you are a new AHIP user 8. Select Medicare Course Home 9. Complete the assigned modules Returning AHIP users will be assigned the recertification modules New AHIP users will be assigned the full certification modules 10. Pass the test in 6 or fewer attempts with a score of 90% or higher 11. At the end of the test, go to the home page - Click Transmit to United Healthcare 12. Select the "I Comply" button when the Pledge of Compliance Screen appears 13. The course is now available in the Ethics and Compliance module and assessment. Simply take it, attest to it in the Ethics and Compliance assessment, and you re done. NEW! Conflict of Interest Disclosure In an effort to make the annual disclosure to a conflict of interest seamless while you are already certifying with UnitedHealthcare, the 2018 Ethics and Compliance prerequisite test includes, in addition to the Pledge of Compliance, a conflict of interest status disclosure. Your response will not affect your ability to proceed with the certification process with UnitedHealthcare Some common situations that create a potential for conflict of interest include you or your immediate family member has a direct or indirect ownership interest, or an employment relationship, or position of influence with a healthcare provider or UnitedHealthcare business partner, or a UnitedHealthcare employee manages, or is managed by, a family member within their sales organization reporting structure.

Each time you launch the assessment an attempt is counted, whether you complete the assessment or not. Important: Be sure to schedule uninterrupted time in order to complete the entire assessment without losing an attempt Upon answering a question, immediate feedback lets you know if you answered the question correctly or incorrectly [AHIP Certification Instructions - EDC ONLY] UnitedHealthcare will once again accept America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) certification and AHIP re-certification in place of the UnitedHealthcare 2017 Medicare Basics module. For more information, refer to the 2018 Certification User Guide, which will be available on June 26 on the UnitedHealthcare Distribution Portal. AHIP Launch date 6/19/17 Discount rate for $125 ($50 off) available but you access the AHIP site through our site FIRST to get the discount UHC does not require AHIP certification. However, if you take AHIP for another Medicare Advantage Partner and pass with a score of 90% or higher, you can transfer the AHIP completion to UHC at no charge and it will satisfy the requirement for the following UHC modules: o Medicare Basics o Medicare Advantage Plans o Medicare Prescription Drug Plans

14 What you need to know Beginning on June 26, 2017, you can take AHIP courses from the Learning Center on the UnitedHealthcare Distribution Portal If you access the Learning Center on or after June 26, 2017, you will be eligible for a $50 discount offered by UnitedHealthcare on AHIP courses. This discount* will automatically be transferred and applied upon payment on the AHIP site. If you complete AHIP certification on the AHIP website or through another carrier, you will need to return to the Learning Center on the UnitedHealthcare Distribution Portal to transfer your AHIP credits to UnitedHealthcare for the 2018 certification year. Those that certify with AHIP will need to complete additional prerequisites (2018 Ethics and Compliance and a 2018 AARP course) to become certified to sell UnitedHealthcare products. If you sell other types of plans in addition to Medicare Advantage and Part D, you will need to complete the additional relevant certification modules, such as Chronic and Dual Special Needs Plans or Medicare Supplement Insurance. Once an agent begins the certification process with AHIP or UnitedHealthcare, they must complete certification, using that same medium, within six attempts. Note: AHIP courses are purchased in groups of three attempts. An agent who fails to pass the AHIP course within six attempts is not permitted to restart the certification process through UnitedHealthcare and is not permitted to sell any UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions products for the applicable plan year. NOTE: You must transfer your AHIP completion BEFORE accessing the UHC training. Failure to do so will result in your AHIP score being rejected. After completion go to the home page and click transmit to UHC.
