Acknowledges the qualifications of the professional who leads the coordinated management of multiple projects and ensures the ultimate success of a program What s involved in earning the credential? 6 Key Questions About the New Credential (continued) Management: The New Imperative When is it available? Now! Launched on October 1, 2007 What are the qualifications? Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent must have Four years of project management experience (6,000 hours) and Four years of program management experience (6,000 hours) Applicants without degree or equivalent must have Four years of project management experience (6,000 hours) and Seven years of program management experience (10,500 hours) NOTE: The experience requirements must be met within the last 15 years PMP is a certification mark of the Project Management Institute, Inc., which is registered in the United States and other nations.
