3 KIRK WIRELESS SERVER 1500 Flexibility and Mobility for up to 700 Wireless Users The, with its choice of analogue, ISDN or IP interface, is the ideal add-on telephony solution for large businesses with a need for up to 700 wireless users. The basic version of the KIRK Wireless registers 64 wireless users with analogue interface and 350 wireless users with ISDN or IP. When your business evolves and your telephony needs change, KIRK telecom provides you with an easy way to expand your KIRK solution. The KIRK Expansion Board and the KIRK Link Card make it possible to double the solution capacity to reach registration of up to 128 and 700 wireless users depending on interface technology. It is also possible to upgrade the interface technology applied in the when more traffic capacity or more wireless users are needed. With a KIRK solution, a smooth migration is assured for customers wishing to move from analogue or ISDN to IP. There is no need to invest in a new solution a simple exchange of the KIRK Interface Card to fit the new PBX is enough. The also comes in a rack version as shown above. KIRK Base Stations radio units KIRK Repeaters Wireless Users a/b 192 a/b 700 ISDN,IP 1500 ISDN UK ED2 The Server The Server 1500 controls the solution. It manages the KIRK Base Stations and KIRK Repeaters within a KIRK solution and handles functionalities including the synchronization for seamless handover, echo cancellation and line delay compensation. The also handles the analogue/isdn/ip interface to the call handler and has a builtin memory for storing various data during operation. The KIRK Base Station The KIRK Base Station provides coverage and works as a link between the KIRK Handset and the Server The operates the KIRK Base Stations through a wired standard twisted pair of cables. Only one pair is required per KIRK Base Station and the cable may be up to 2,000 meters long. KIRK Repeater The KIRK Repeater expands the coverage area without increasing the number of speech channels. The wireless KIRK Repeater is used in areas with limited voice traffic, where cabling is difficult. Up to three KIRK Repeaters can be placed in cascade formation directing coverage in a certain direction. KIRK Handsets There is a KIRK Handset for every need. If your staff members have different needs, they choose different handsets all types of KIRK Handsets can be subscribed to the same installation.
