1 ADWIN-PRO II - Modules FLEXIBLE AND MODULAR PROCESSOR T11 The Heart of ADwin Pro-II The processor module is the center of each ADwin-Pro II system. It executes the ADbasic instructions and accesses the inputs, outputs and interfaces of the other modules. The Pro-CPU-T11 processor module offers highest real-time computing power and is software-compatible to all previous versions. On this basis, the intelligent slide-in card can react independently to measurement values and events and disburden the main processor, for example performing as fast closed-loop controller, digital filter for analog signals, function generator or intelligent limit monitor. There are even more possibilities using the extended version, e. g. : counter, SSI decoder or EtherCAT interface. 2 ANALOG MODULES Interfaces for analog signals The analog modules for ADwin-Pro II systems are the best solution for time-critical tasks. The analog inputs have a resolution of up to 18 bit and offer sample rates up to 50 MHz. 256 MB of data memory is available for temporary data storage on modules with parallel analog inputs. The processor T11 accesses the measurement values of the ADC modules via the ADwin-Pro II bus with up to 200 MB/s. The DACs have a resolution of 16 bit and and offer a large band with. Select the digital modules suitable to your signal type. 3 COUNTER MODULES Counter modules for fast digital signals The ADwin-Pro II counter modules can be used for connecting incremental encoders, for event counting, or for the analysis of pulse width modulated signals. Universal counter modules, individually configurable 32 -bit counter for the following modes pulse or event counter PWM analysis, pulse width measurement incremental encoder inputs clock / direction or A / B with 4-edge-evaluation 2 SSI inputs, 5 V differential (RS-422) additionally on differential version Module variants according to input signals: Pro II-Cnt-T: TTL signals Pro II-Cnt-D: 5 V differential (RS-422) Pro II-Cnt-I: optically isolated 5 V / 12 V / 24 V Freely programmable TiCo processor e. g. for pre-processing of complex timing signals. BUS SYSTEM MODULES Communication in all directions ADwin-Pro II modules work with various bus systems and serial interfaces. An ADwin-Pro II system can simultaneously send messages and data via RS232, communicate with devices via CAN bus, and control a test stand. The following interfaces are available: Pro II-RSx-2: 2 x RS-232 / RS-485 (software-selectable), with TiCo processor Pro II-RSx-4: 4 x RS-232 / RS-485, (software-selectable), with TiCo processor Pro II-CAN-2: 2 x 2 CAN bus, low speed or high speed (CAN 2.0 part A+B, ISO 11898),incoming CAN messages can rise a CPU event. Module includes a TiCo processor. Pro II-LIN-2: 2 x LIN Bus Pro II-LIN-4: 4 x LIN Bus Pro II-Profi-SL: 1 x Profibus with slave interface Pro II-Flex-2: 2 x FlexRay; each controller is provided with 2 channels Pro II-EtherCAT-SL: 1 x EtherCAT with slave interface Other field bus interfaces on request TEMPERATURE MODULES Active temperature measurement with ADwin-Pro II Module for Pt sensors The temperature module Pro II-RTD-8 transforms signals of platinum temperature sensors with ADCs and thus enables to query temperature or the attached voltage. All required settings can be done by software. The on-module sequence control executes all measurements which strongly disburdens the main processor of the Pro II system. In addition, the module can automatically filter a defined (disturbance) frequency from the digital signals. Properties: Suitable for temperature sensors Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100 Measurement range according to sensor -200 C C Input filter 25 khz Measurement resolution 0,015 K - Measurement accuracy ±0,1 K Module for thermocouples The temperature module Pro II-TC-8-ISO transforms signals of standard thermocouples and enables to query temperature or the attached voltage (with or without cold junction compensation). All required settings can be done by software. The on-module sequence control executes all measurements which strongly disburdens the main processor of the Pro II system.
