2 Retrofit Instructions WARNING Always disconnect main power to the prior to replacing. Control box contains no serviceable parts in. This manual contains wiring diagrams for applications using older model Senior and Astro Swing control boxes and corresponding wiring diagrams on the facing pages for the same applications using the new Senior or Astro Swing control boxes with retrofit cables. To retrofit a new control box to an existing application:. Turn off main power to the existing control box and accessories.. Disconnect all wiring from teh existing control box, including the control box ground wire (Figure, page ).. Disconnect the control box ground wire from the header end plate (Figure, page ). Discard ground wire. If screw is inaccessible because of the gear box, cut and strip wire for reconnection in step.. Remove the existin gcontrol box from the header.. Connect retrofit cable to the 0 VAC power leads in the header (Figure, page ). Connect ground of to ground wire from step. If existing ground wire was cut in step, splice new ground wire to existing ground wire.. On the table below, find the type of control box and accessories used in the existing application. See the specified pages for application wiring diagrams for both the existing and new control boxes.. Make connections according to the checklist on the application wiring diagram for the new control box. See page for names and locations of control box connections. 11 Install Control Box. Orient the control box so the keypad faces down and the -pin connector faces the for a single system or the master for a double system (Figure ).. Raise the control box into the header and rotate the two mounting bars so they engage the slots that run the length of the header (Figure ).. See Figure for final positions of (s) and control box in the header.. Set the keypad settings on the new control box. If the existing application includes an electromechanical locking device connected to the existing wiring, set the control box Electric Lock keypad setting to off. See the Senior Swing Control Box instructions (part number 000) for information on keypad settings.. Test the system.
