11 Micro800 controllers Overview Rockwell Automation has developed the next generation of Micro PLCs. They are well suited to a wide range of PLC applications from simple timer, clock and relay replacement to three axis motion control. There are two sub-series of Micro800 hardware. These are the Micro810 and the Micro80 series. Most models within these series can have plug in modules added to them. These modules provide optional extra functionality, including analogue outputs and RTDs. The Micro850 series is available for applications that require more digital I/O or higher performance analogue I/O. The Micro850 also has embedded Ethernet port which supports Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP communication protocols. The Micro850 allows peer-to-peer communication, or connecting to PanelView Component HMIs and PCs. 26 MicroLogix I/O Expansion modules for MicroLogix MicroLogix 110/1200/1400 controllers can be expanded by using the 1762 series of I/O modules. The 1762 I/O expansion modules provide superior functionality in a small sized low-cost package. A variety of modules complement and extend the capabilities of MicroLogix 1100 controllers by maximising the flexibility of I/O count and type. The MicroLogix 1100 system design allows modules to be either DIN-rail or panelmounted. The Din latches and screw mounting holes are an integral part of the package design.
