2 E238 PRESETTERS (LYRA, PULSAR & ARA MODELS) MECHANICAL FEATURES Axes Movement: Manual Rapid Traverse for Continuous Micro- Fine Adjustment by Wormscrew Measuring Range: X-Axis mm (ø280 mm) [5.51 (ø11.02 )] Z-Axis mm [14.96 ] Maximum Tool Weight - 40 kg Run-Out Error - < 3 µm SPINDLE The spindle body on the unit base is mounted on spring roller cages for minimal run-out error. The spindle indexes in four angles: 0º, 90º, 180º and 270º. Interchangeable rotating inner part with couplings for ISO/BT , VDI and HSK. A thrust bearing accommodates tools up to 40 kg. AXES MOVEMENT Axis movements are manual and have two modes (indicated by lights): rapid and micrometric adjustment. Rapid movement is used for approaching and moving the collimator away, while micrometric movements are used for tool profile collimation and for measurement acquisition. MECHANICAL CLAMP (LYRA) Features a manual mechanical clamp. Tensile force can be adjusted according to the size of the 40/50 taper, from 200/250 kg to 1500/1800 kg. DISPLAY Graphic display, icon-driven menus and alphanumeric keyboard allow for easy tool management of 99 CNC machine tool origins and 9 tool lists (over 500 tool descriptions). FLASH technology enables software updates via the Internet. BASE AND COLUMN Ground granite bases and columns ensure accuracy of movement in all temperatures. PRISMATIC RAILS / OPTICAL SCALES Double recirculating ball bearing guides ensure accuracy. Each scale has a resolution of 1 µm and is certified by an interferometer laser for accuracy within each stroke X/Z axes. Carriages of the axes are equipped with guide self-cleaning systems. The Panvision system uses a C-MOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) image sensor, rather than a conventional CCD (charge coupled device) camera. TOOLIVE SOFTWARE TOOLIVE converts measured data format into the language of the numeric control. After creating the tool table and relevant measurements with the presetter, TOOLIVE allows data storage by choosing from 60 different types of post-processors.
