Dual core Input from Dewesoft This new technology solves the often faced problem that the signal is just much higher than expected and therefore clipped. Dewesoft DUAL CORE ADC technology always gives you the full possible measuring range, because the signal is measured with a high and a low gain at the same time! The user doesn t need to care about the range anymore. High dynamic range up to 160 db! NEW realtime counter Real-time counter / digital inputs Digital Isolation ±1000 V There are 2 typical counter functions: the gated measurement (high frequency range typ. > 100 Hz) or pulse width measurement (low frequency range typ. < 100 Hz). Many applications need both: the counter information and the analog data. Traditional systems do not offer the counter information synchronized to the A/D converters, because they get the counter information only either after the gate time or after the pulse time measured. In comparison to standard counting with software interpolation (value 1.5 in the example image) Dewesoft real-time counting uses an additional counter to get the exact time of the rising edge of the signal. This unique ADC-clock feature allows the calculation of the exact counter value at the Counter input A/D sample point (value 1.87 in the example). CAN bus (synchronous) USB-based measurement systems is an USB data acquisition device. It has eight isolated input/output channels. Each base board of the Sirius can hold 8 standard amplifiers (modules). The chassis have a 6-36 V power supply and an additional CAN interface on the back side. 4 - external PC Choose your system configuration: USB chassis with an external PC Multiple chassis can be combined and synced together to get a multichannel system. If you go for the modular solution, due to the clever mounting-system (click-mechanism) you can use the devices separately or stacked together, whatever fits best to the actual measurement task. Modular solution (up to 7 slices) The chassis can be combined to a multichannel system, with an external sync and power box. Removable HDD For a safe, stable operation we recommend separating the system from the measurement data. This is what has been done here: The operating system is on an internal flash disk with 8GB, while the measurement data is stored on the exchangeable HDD. USB USB ports Lockable connectors NET-OPTION For bigger measurement tasks you can use the DEWE-NET option to combine several S-BOXes to one big system of up to 1000 channels and more: simply connect them via GLAN and sync. And if the measurement is done, just disconnect and use each S-BOX independently again. When using the DEWE-NET option this way, the load can be distributed over the individual S-BOXes. 11 Counter Counter Counters are mainly used for measuring RPM and angle of rotating machines. DEWESoft real-time counter work on a 50MHz internal time base, ALWAYS, independent of the current sample rate. In comparison to standard counter, which only output whole numbers like 1,1,2,2,3,4, one sample later, DEWESoft is able to extract the more accurate values like 1.37, 1.87, 2.37, fully time- and amplitude-synchronized! This is done by measuring the exact time of the rising edge of the signal with an additional counter. DEWESoft supports a lot of different sensors: Encoder with 1, 2 or 3 tracks (A, B and Z reset signal) Linear pulses and pulse encoder The tacho input requires only 1 pulse per revolution to calculate angle and RPM. This is thought for easy installation with an optical probe and reflective tape. For higher accuracy the tape sensor option uses a special tape with equidistant black/ white stripes. This can also be mounted easily around the rotating wheel on a fixed installation. The Function generator is able to put test signals like sine, triangle, rectangle, saw or even an arbitrary table out. This can be done continuously or in Sweep / step sweep / burst / and many more. 13 Option: Analog Out Option: Analog Out Replay Replay your data files after the measurement! The input signals can be routed out to the backside of the to feed a test-bed and simulate e.g. the vibrations during a test drive. Control Channel With the ControlChannel plugin it is now possible to directly access the analog outputs and manually assign a value LIVE during measurement! This can be used for controlling peripheral hardware. Choose out of many different instruments like bar, turn knob, button or text box Output oversampling Similar to the Sigma-Delta converter on the input the analog output uses a special oversampling technology, to still be able to get higher frequencies correctly put out. Although the maximum sample rate is 200 khz, the output looks like sampled with 1 MHz! 25
