15 E Adjustment method of analog monitor output (1) Current output (0-20mA output) Under the use of current output, method of output adjustment for analog monitor is the same as the case of "AM terminal meter selection" (f670). Refer to the instruction manual attached to the inverter. (2) Voltage output (±output) In the case of voltage output, meter adjustment under the condition of inverter halt cannot be set well unlike the case of current output and AM terminal meter selection, even when the fixed output for meter (30) is designated with the parameters "optional analog terminal meter selection" (f672 and f674). When the meter adjustment is difficult during the operation of inverter, try sending out the operation frequency command to the monitor, and the adjustment will be possible. Before attempting an adjustment, disconnect an output wiring of the inverter for the sake of safety, or ensure safe condition to avoid possible danger in the event when the inverter abruptly runs. When the analog monitor that is to be adjusted is being used for the manipulation of peripheral devices, terminate the operation of those devices and take necessary safety prevention. Adjustment example of monitor output 1 For this adjustment work, temporarily change the present parameter. Before changing the parameter, record the current set value. 1. Confirm that the inverter is in halt condition. 2. Select [1] (operation frequency command) in the parameter "optional analog terminal 1 meter selection" (f672). 3. Select [1] (coded only to No.1 meter) or [3] (coded both to No.1 and No.2) in the parameter "Selection of code for option analog meter" (f680). 4. Select [5] (operating panel input enabled) in the parameter "speed setting mode selection" (fmod). 5. Operate a panel and set 0Hz to the operation frequency command. 6. Adjust a zero point of the meter on the parameter "optional analog terminal 1 meter offset" (f678). 7. Operate a panel and set the operation frequency command to the maximum frequency (fh). When it is not possible to set operation frequency command to the maximum frequency (fh), first set the upper limit frequency (ul) to the same value of the maximum frequency (fh), then adjust the operation frequency command to the maximum frequency (fh). 8. Adjust the meter indication value in "optional analog terminal 1 meter adjustment" (f673). Types of adjustment level differ depending on the parameter "optional analog terminal 1 meter selection" (f672). See selection table listed on the previous page. (a) The maximum frequency (fh) will become the voltage value that is presently indicated. (b) 150% displayed on the panel will be the voltage value that is presently indicated. (c) 100% displayed on the panel will be the voltage value that is presently indicated. 9. Restore the operation frequency command on the panel to its original value. 10. Restore the speed setting mode selection (fmod) to its original value. 11. Restore the "Selection of code for option analog meter" (f680) to its original value. 12. Restore the optional analog terminal 1 meter selection (f672) to its original value. 13. If the upper limit frequency (ul) has been changed in the step of 7 above, restore it to the original value. 14

16 E Function of expansion input terminal Eight input terminals can be added. However when binary/bcd signal selection (f107) is used, terminals will function as the binary/bcd input terminals. Function is similar to that of the input terminals of the inverter, refer to the inverter instruction manual.
