Under the leadership of Barry Puertollano, Barmelco Electrical has been successfully operating since 2009 in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The business services all aspects of the electrical trade across domestic, commercial, construction, industrial, mining and oil & gas sectors. Having lived in the Pilbara for more than 30 years, Mr Puertollano is committed the Pilbara region. He strives to create a positive environment for his team of more than 20 employees through effective leadership and mentoring. Prospective employees are carefully screened to ensure they have the skills and attitudes required to meet the highest standards. They then receive ongoing training and support. Mr Puertollano is passionate about Indigenous engagement and where possible, seeks to employ Aboriginal trades people. We are commited to the employment of Indigenous apprentices to increase the numbers of electrical trades people throughout the business. Recent projects include the BHP Sample Station upgrade and the Charter Hall shopping centre lighting upgrade. OIL & GAS ELECTRICAL SERVICES Barmelco Electrical provides electrical instrumentation technicians and mechanics for electrical maintenance services to offshore and onshore facilities. This includes calibration and hazardous area maintenance. Our clients include blue-chip mining companies BHPBIO and Woodside, Charter Hall, BGC Contracting and Diverse Group Australia. Barmelco Electrical is Cat 3 certified at Rio Tinto and we have been operating on the Roy Hill Project for more than 12 months with BGC Contracting. Barmelco Electrical is also a proud service provider to Lend Lease. Barmelco were engaged as the electrical contractor for the Sample station 611 upgrade project, they were able to deliver on schedule, cost and incident free. The companies experience and depth was fundamental in the timely completion of two critical brownfields shutdowns.
