11 Current Research Projects Commercial Buildings Energy Monitoring Wireless Networked System (EMWINS) Develop and demonstrate, in a wireless environment, a tool to support the embedded monitoring and fault isolation enabling automated continuous commissioning of HVAC systems for Commercial Buildings Phase Change Material Water Compact Thermal Energy Storage Unit & Heat Exchanger System (PCM) Design, prototype and test full scale novel phase change material based thermal energy storage heat exchanger for Commercial Buildings; demonstrate as part of CIT s National Sustainable Building Energy test bed for whole building power and energy management Total Energy Management for Production Operations (TEMPO) Establish effective Energy Monitoring Tools providing production facilities with detailed, realtime information on all energy usage, production throughput and cost optimisation, and deliver a fully integrated demonstrator solution in a production environment.
