WESTERN AUSTRALIA REGIONAL ROLLOUT PLAN
The Problem A survey completed by BIRRR in regional Australia in 2016 asked whether the current internet services available were adequate to support the area s need the following was the result Source: BIRRR Regional Internet Access Survey Results Paper 2016
The Solution South Western Wireless WA

What does the Data Centre do? It operates Just like the data centres used in large organisations except that it is designed for use in rural and remote areas. It contains all the technology and computing power you would expect to see in a data centre for a large corporate organisation or banking institution. All this computing power and storage can now be used by anyone in the community, regardless of the type of business. The Data Centre can be loaded and updated over satellite, 3or 4G, Optical Fibre or Copper wired internet. This means it can be maintained remotely, but always be up to date with the latest content.
Security is assured by using a gateway written by the company and distributed using a point-to-point methodology rather that a Wi-Fi broadcast, although final point distribution by Wi-Fi (especially for public access) is available. The data centre is design to operate 24*7 regardless of the conditions surrounding the centre. It provides its own power in an emergency and can operate in 2.5 Metres of moving floodwater providing much needed communications in times of disaster. The Data centre uses modern power efficient equipment. The generation plant can even operate on Green [Bio] fuels. The data centre is self-leveling using custom hydraulic legs. Up to 15 degrees on any surface type (that equates to 1.7 metres off the ground at one end). The mast is attached to the datacenter so no external guy requirements are necessary at heights up to 50 metres. The data centre is cooled using a combination of heat vector and air conditioning as necessary. This reduces the power footprint of the solution.
Services South Western Wireless WA is proud to offer many services previously only available in urban centres. For Example Wifi Mesh Systems Managed business services Store anything you want. Run your business intranet Run your business applications without the need to buy additional server capacity Terminal based computing using state of the art visualisation technology Local Web hosting services for country customers. The Data Centre has its own built in search engine (just like Google) to help you find local businesses fast. Backup facilities. Backup all your valuable data, safely, but not too far from home. Currently, 5 GB is included free with every account and does not cost you to move the data Disaster Recovery Facility In case of a complete disaster, The environment can have you back up and running in the blink of an eye
Cloud Computing. We ve all heard about the cloud. Now you can virtualise your business, but it s still right here in town Movie distribution service where the movie content is stored in town and costs nothing to stream. Simply pay the provider for the movie and there is no metered download charge IT Resource Centres for education and library facilities. This means completely safe internet for students with content loaded by the school. Great for use when you go home and the school laptop won t connect to anything else Community communication centres Find out what s going on in the community using the free web hosting service for local activities Run a community chat facility (Social networking) Guaranteed to keep running 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Hub and Spoke Model In order to reach the maximum number of residents of the local shire as possible, the solution uses repeaters to get to smaller villages within the shire. This involves the construction of small masts to carry the repeaters (or backhaul) units. Using this method we can reach the corners of the shire. This method significantly reduces the costs associated with service delivery, whilst still offering all the facilities of the hub installation. The rate of delivery of the spokes is determined by the available customers associated with the operation of the hub. Revenue is generated by subscription as customers.
Strong Fast Reliable Connectivity Essential Service
Building on Success Fixed Wireless Infrastructure Upload is the new Download! - Symmetrical Business Grade Internet Super Fast Internet - Very Low Latency Backup capability Technical expertise Mixed Technology Building on proven success - South Western Wireless Communications Company already installed and providing superfast internet in 22 regional centres across NSW, Victoria and Queensland and May 17 Peel Region WA

Portability of solution This solution can be repeated at as many locations that are interested in becoming connected. The entire facility can be constructed locally and delivered on the back truck and trailer. Currently we can connect any locality that has an access portal to the outside world. Traffic is concentrated at the hub before being passed to the internet.

Community Co-op Models Full Community Co-op Funding Model Developed Chance for Local Government, Farming Groups, Large Organisations & Private Investors within the community to invest in their own Telecommunications Network This is the best type of network from our point of view because the community has ownership of the network and the profits come back into the community This is ready to go now there is fibre in Albany and Katanning that we have access to and we have the IP, technical knowledge and experience to roll this out. It doesn t have to be hard.
