2 C5AD Mission and Functions The C5 Assessments Division conducts assessments of existing and emerging Cyber and C4 capabilities in a persistent environment to achieve interoperable and integrated solutions that satisfy joint, interagency and mission partner operational requirements. 3 Purpose Built Facility to Fulfill Mission Functions Cyber Conduct Cyber training and capability testing using the Cyber Command and Control Laboratory. Integration Apply off-the-shelf solutions with immediate warfighter benefit and assist in the migration of best practice C2 capabilities to conventional forces. Assessments Address interoperability issues to improve warfighter mission effectiveness. Task Impact Increased Cyber Space defensive capability to defend key terrain against advanced cyber threats. Maintain the military advantage in Cyber space operations. 1. Provide: Commanders a tool for identifying, assessing, and addressing C4/Cyber capability and force readiness; assess system vulnerabilities, interoperability, and integration. 2. DECRE C2IS is a partnership of OSD and Joint Staff organizations who have integrated their separately developed capabilities into an environment for a robust, operationally realistic representation of DODIN networks, command and control systems, information systems, applications, and services. 3. Cyber defense forces secure and defend key terrain in cyberspace against live red teams.
