2 Established in 1987 the PPMA Group consists of three trade associations with over 450 member companies. Representing the UK market in its four Association sectors, the PPMA Group speaks with a truly representative industry voice. Whilst there are many common services across the group each trade association has its own objectives and secretariat. 11 International Partners and Correspondence Lobbying and Engagement with Government Regulators A Voice for the Industry in Whitehall Any good Trade Association has a fundamental obligation to represent its members in the corridors of government and the PPMA actively works to achieve this. Regular meetings are secured with Ministers and their senior decision makers providing members with an opportunity to influence the future course of legislation. Trade Challenge Partner, Accredited Trade Organisation and Close Relations with UKTI With increasing globalisation more import and export activities within the Processing & Packaging industry are being developed. The PPMA is an approved Accredited Trade Organisation (ATO) under the UK Government Scheme, which enables us to obtain grants for overseas exhibitions and missions. We also host periodic inward and outward missions in support of our members strategy in several overseas locations.
