Especially with their thrust of creating sustainable urban communities. The BCDA Group transforms former military bases and properties into premier centers of economic growth in partnership with the private sector. Some of the recent projects under BCDA are: Global Conceptual Design Competition for the New Building of the Senate of the Philippines A destination where nature, lifestyle and business, education, and industry converge into a global city based on principles of sustainability. The Senate of the Philippines entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for the acquisition of an 18,320-sq.m. parcel of land owned by the BCDA at the Navy Village in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. To kick start the construction phase, the BCDA holds a Conceptual Design Competition for the new building and opens the submission of entries for interested proponents. Participants may be local, foreign or a combination of both, subject to the conditions for eligibility as stated under the Expression of Interest Form. Iconic Building BCDA is inviting interested proponents to collaborate for the development of the Iconic Building at 11 th Avenue corner 11 th Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Philippines. The Iconic Building is envisioned to create an identifying edifice for Bonifacio Global City the way some architectural landmarks have done for the leading cities in the world. It will have an area to honor the Armed Forces of the Philippines, premium office spaces and retail

4 areas. Interested proponents can be either local, foreign or a combination of both, subject to the conditions for eligibility under the Terms of Reference. New Clark City Located in Central Luzon, New Clark City (NCC) is at a confluence of industry and agriculture with existing infrastructure and connectivity to Manila and rest of the Philippines. With favorable location in the region and appropriate distance from Metro Manila, NCC is poised to become the next big metropolis. Merging with nature, the heart of New Clark City is proposed to be a central park with business district wrapped around it that has magnificent views of the hills. Served by public transport, housing and industries form the other layers. The PHILGBC is a part of more than 90 National Green Building Councils around the world organized under the auspices of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC). Since its establishment, PHILGBC has been campaigning for the transformation of design, construction and management methods of the industry into practices that are environmentally and socially responsible, safe and healthy, and a prosperous environment. The Council is continuously developing and improving the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) Rating System, the Philippines own green building rating system.
