3 ITIL Membership 3 1 ITIL Membership Public FAQs 1.1 WHAT IS ITIL MEMBERSHIP? ITIL Membership is an online subscription enabling individuals to apply best practices so they deliver value to their organization, as well as developing their skills and knowledge in line with innovations in the industry. Subscribers can progress through their ITIL journey with access to the ITIL Practitioner official guidance and templates, alongside a wealth of best practice publications and insights. As part of ITIL Membership, subscribers can earn a digital badge linked to their certification and demonstrative of their commitment to professional development through the undertaking and recording of CPD activities. 1.2 HOW CAN I CLAIM MY ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION TO ITIL MEMBERSHIP? Every individual that earns an ITIL Foundation certificate from 1 January 2018 will be contacted by AXELOS to activate their subscription to ITIL Membership. As part of ITIL Membership, individuals can earn a digital badge that links to their ITIL Foundation certification. A digital badge is designed to demonstrate an individual s ongoing relevancy through their commitment to CPD activities. In order to claim the badge, individuals will need to appear on the AXELOS Successful Candidates Register (SCR) which they can opt into through the PeopleCert online portal. 1.3 WHAT IS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES REGISTER (SCR)? AXELOS Successful Candidates Register (SCR) provides details of any candidates who have previously passed an AXELOS examination and have opted in to have their details displayed. The AXELOS system uses the register to cross-reference and verify candidates certifications before adding these to their profile. Candidates can choose to opt out of this public listing if they wish when they register for their examination with PeopleCert. 1.4 MY INFORMATION IS NOT APPEARING ON THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES REGISTER (SCR). WHAT SHOULD I DO? If your information is not appearing on the Successful Candidates Register, you should contact PeopleCert directly and ask to be added to the register. Failing that, please contact membership@axelos.com and we will assist. 1.5 HOW DOES ITIL MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT ME? ITIL Membership provides individuals with an extensive range of templates, toolkits and resources that have been specifically designed to boost their ITSM knowledge and capabilities and drive their career forward. Benefits include: Access to the latest best practice resources such as the ITIL Practitioner official guidance and templates Exclusive white papers which explore the latest insights, research and approaches

4 4 ITIL Membership CPD tools to understand your skills, record your development, and map out a career path Professional endorsement through a digital badge aligned to your ITIL Foundation certificate. 1.6 WHAT ARE DIGITAL BADGES? Digital badges are a modern solution which allows individuals to showcase their achievements to their professional network. Digital badges are loaded with metadata and hold individuals online credentials, which can be updated in real time. The ITIL digital badge is aligned to the highest ITIL certification held by the individual and must be maintained through professional development activities. AXELOS has partnered with Acclaim to supply these digital badges. 1.7 HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY DIGITAL BADGE? To maintain the digital badge, individuals will need to undertake and record professional development activities that equate to a minimum of 20 CPD points. Individuals earn 1 CPD point for each hour of activity. Five of these points must come from professional experience and relate to the knowledge of best practice that they gained from their qualification. The remaining 15 points can come from training/qualifications, community participation and/or self-study. 1.8 WHAT LANGUAGE IS ITIL MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE IN? ITIL Membership and its resources and content are currently only available in English. If in future AXELOS sees growing demand for our membership service in other languages, then we will endeavour to meet that demand. 1.9 HOW MUCH DOES ITIL MEMBERSHIP COST? Individuals first year subscription to ITIL Membership is included with the cost of their exam. After that, an annual subscription costs 50 + VAT. Multi-subscription discounts are available: a second subscription costs 30 + VAT and a third subscription costs just 20 + VAT WHAT OTHER MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE? We also have a subscription service available for PRINCE2 and MSP. Individuals will be required to complete CPD activities against each subscription, but if activities are relevant to each, they may be used across multiple subscriptions.
