3 UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR EUROPE (UNECE) Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON KNOWLEDGE-BASED DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP (Baku, Azerbaijan, November 2011) The International Conference on Knowledge-based Development and Innovative Entrepreneurship will discuss issues related to the promotion of innovative development and knowledge-based competitiveness, protection of intellectual property rights, entrepreneurship and public-private partnerships with special emphasis on emerging market economies. Particular reference will be made to the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to advance these policy aims.
