4 4. The importance of data security Every organisation that records data on its equipment has a number of legal obligations to protect that information under Data Protection Legislation. From the moment we collect your redundant equipment, data security is our priority: We are one of only a few UK companies to be accredited by ADISA (the Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance), guaranteeing the highest standards of data security. We are subject to unannounced forensic audits to ensure that these outstanding levels are maintained at all times. We use CESG certified and DOD method pattern wiping software and our processes ensure the removal of all identification markings so you can be absolutely confident that your data will be completely destroyed. If for any reason data holding devices cannot be sanitised, we will physically destroy them using our own specialist shredding machines. We provide a full audit report and data destruction certificate after every collection, demonstrating that you have met all of your responsibilities under both data and environmental legislation. All of our data collection and processing staff hold SC Security Clearance If required, 2 members of our team will attend to ensure that security is never compromised during the collection process. All of our vehicles are GPS satellite tracked, alarmed and immobilised.
