2 Enter the Internet address Select Launch Select Kör two times until the window below appears

3 Put User name and Password Select Log On Select New Project

4 Select Nästa> Enter Project Name as Lab2_Group_Number of Group Select Nästa>

5 Select Nästa> Select Slutför

6 Right-click Diagrams Select Create Diagram

7 Enter Clustering as the Diagram Name Select OK Right-click Data Source

8 Click on the window Create Data Source Select Nästa>

9 Select Browse.. Select Sampsio in SAS Libraries

10 Select Custdet1 in column Name Select OK Select Nästa> five times until the window below appears

11 Select Slutför Drag the CUSTDET1 data source into the diagram window

12 Select Explore and drag the Cluster node into the diagram window Connect the CUSTDET1 data source to the Cluster node as shown below

13 Right-click CUSTDET1 node Select Run

14 Select Ja Select OK

15 To explore data right-click on the Cluster node and select Edit Variables Select variables, you are going to explore, by holding down the CTRL button and selecting their names In the example we select variables AGE, EDLEVEL, INCOME

16 Select Explore Histograms are produced for selected variables

17 All histograms are linked. When you select an interval on one of these histograms, the associated intervals in other histograms are highlighted. In the example we select interval for variable Educational Level In the next example we select interval for variable Educational Level To change number of intervals for a given histogram right-click on this histogram (in the example on Yearly Income histogram)

18 Select Diagramegenskaper Select number of intervals (in the example 20)

19 Select OK To integrate data for a few intervals drag pointer through a given intervals (in the example for Yearly Income histogram we are dragging pointer from 32,670 till 49,005)

20 Close Explore window Select all variables (from ACCTNUM till WCOAT) by holding down CTRL key

21 Under the Use column select one and change Use to No Select under the Name column variable INCOME

22 For variable INCOME under the Use column change Use to Yes For variable NUMCARS under the Use column change Use to Yes

23 Select OK Right-click on the Cluster node and select Run

24 Select Ja Select Results The Results window opens with four components

25 Click on fragment Segment Variable 4 for Variable = INCOME as shown below

26 We see text: Segment Variable = 4 Percent (Summa) = Formatted Value = 13613:27225 It means, that in Cluster No % persons have Yearly Income from to $ Click on another fragment Segment Variable 4 for Variable = INCOME as shown below We see text: Segment Variable = 4 Percent (Summa) = Formatted Value = 27225:40838 It means, that in Cluster No % persons have Yearly Income from to $ To see number of persons in Cluster No 4 click Segment No 4 on Segment Size window

27 We see text: Segment Id = 4 Frequency of Cluster = 639 It means that Cluster No 4 includes 639 persons To see distribution of given Formatted Value between different clusters right-click on Segment Plot window Select Dataalternativ

28 Select OK Select in the bottom of Segment Plot color with given Formatted Value (in the example Formatted Value = 27225:40838)

29 Now we can see distribution of Formatted Value for Yearly Income from to $ between different clusters To see Cluster Distance select View Cluster Distance Plot Close Plot window

30 To change parameters of algorithm for given variables select Enterprise Miner-Lab2_... In Property/Value table select Number of Clusters Specification Method Automatic User Specify In Maximum Number of Clusters put number of clusters you wish to specify (in the example we set 3 clusters) Select (activate) Number of Clusters (color has to be black) Right-click on the Cluster node and select Run

31 Select Ja Select Results

32 To change Variables for Cluster Analysis select Enterprise Miner-Lab2_... In Property/Value table specify: Maximum Number of Clusters to 10 Specification Method to Automatic Select Number of Clusters (color has to be black) Right-click node Cluster

33 Select Edit Variables For variable JOB under the Use column change Use to Yes

34 Select OK Right-click on the Cluster node and select Run

35 Select Ja Select Results

36 Full screen Segment Plot Please, continue Cluster Analysis for new parameters Good luck!
