1 HeartCloud FAQs What is HeartCloud? HeartCloud is HeartMath s Cloud-based system that enables you to sync multiple devices and store session data from the Inner Balance, emwave2 and emwave Pro. Here you can review sessions, track your progress over time, earn awards, and even share with others. Creating a new user account for the emwave on HeartCloud It s easy to create a free, new User Account in the HeartCloud. Please note: This procedure is exactly the same for the emwave2 program as well as the emwave PRO. 1. Start by opening the emwave software program. 2. Click the User tab, located in the upper left corner of the screen. 3. Enter a new User or choose the User that you would like to create an account for. 4. Now, Click the User tab and click Edit to see the screen below. 5. Click Okay to proceed.

2 6. Enter an address for the User. Please Note: Only one address can be used per User. If you will be syncing with other devices, such as an iphone with Inner Balance, be sure to use the same account on all devices. 7. Enter a password for the account You have now successfully created a new Heart Cloud account! You can repeat this procedure for every User that has been entered into emwave Pro. (Remember: emwave2 is a single user only program). Each User account is separate and session data or User information is never shared between accounts. How to Sync to HeartCloud 1. Open a HeartCloud account using your emwave program. 2. To open a HeartCloud account, click here. 3. Click Register to begin the registration process. 4. Once you have created this account, open the program or the app. For emwave PRO: If you have created the HeartCloud account from within the emwave program, Select the User that has just been registered and they will automatically sync to the HeartCloud for the User account that you created. You may have to enter the associated with the individual user, and the password that was created at the time of registration.

3 You can view this feature by clicking the Edit tab and selecting Preferences and the Advanced tab. Note: An account must be created for each User in order to sync to the HeartCloud. Only one may be used per User. Can I share my sessions with my health professional or friends? Absolutely! You can provide access to others in your Profile settings in HeartCloud. Once permission is given, you determine which sessions they have access to. You are able to share aspects of your sessions, however not all of the session data from the Inner Balance is available to be reviewed. How can I share my session data from the HeartCloud with my Practitioner? As you work with your Practitioner, it may become necessary for you to share your Session Data with them for review. The procedure for this is as follows: 1. Click or Tap the Heart Cloud icon to access Heart Cloud. 2. Click or Tap the Drop Menu icon and select Profile 3. Click or Tap the Sharing tab to see the Private Sharing Options

4 4. Check the Enable sharing of session data with my practitioner button. 5. Enter a "Read-Only" password that you want to assign to your practitioner. 6. Click or Tap the Review icon and then, History This brings up your Training History. 7. Put a check in the box next to each session that you would like to share with your Practitioner. 8. Have your Practitioner create a User Account for you, if they don't already have one. That User Account needs the same that you use to log on to HeartCloud. The password will be the one that you created during the Sharing process above.

5 9. The Practitioner selects your User Account in emwave PRO, with your User selected, the Practitioner logs on and sync's to the HeartCloud using the and password you assigned to them. They will now see all of your selected Sessions in the Progress View. How do I reset my HeartCloud password? 1. Go to the HeartCloud login screen at and click Forgot Password. (Note: If you have any difficulties with the Forgot Password link, please click here: Reset Password) 2. On the Reset Password dialog enter the account registered at HeartCloud 3. An will be sent with a reset key 4. From the HeartCloud reset password screen, enter the reset key along with your new chosen password.

6 5. After you press submit, you will be redirected to the log in screen to enter your and new password. Note: Passwords may only be reset once every 24 hours as a security feature for you. How do I earn awards and what do the various awards mean? HeartCloud keeps track of your sessions and rewards you with several possible awards depending on your progress and achievements. Activity Tracker: receive awards for practicing several times during the day, week or month. Coherence Builder: receive awards for improving your percentage of time in coherence by day, week or month. Lifetime Achievement: your points earned for the combined sessions. The color of the award you receive changes dependent on your improvement. How do I disable notifications from HeartCloud? To disable notifications 1. Log on to HeartCloud and navigate to your profile tab

7 2. Uncheck the desired items 3. Click Save Changes.
