1 CC s Alumni Network EverTrue web version For a one-page summary of this tool, please see Options for creating an account: 1. address: verification is used to ensure users requesting access are CC alumni. If CC has your address on file you will receive an verification link as part of the authentication step. Be sure to open the authentication in your inbox (check your junk mail folder if you don t see one) from the device on which you are trying to log in (i.e. desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.) If CC does not have the you used to create an account, you will have access as soon as your address is updated in the database. Please allow up to 72 hours. 2. You can connect your account with LinkedIn and log in through LinkedIn instead of with your address. In order to get the most utility out of the network, connecting your LinkedIn account is highly recommended. You can connect your LinkedIn account at any time just change your preferences in Settings. Choose how you would like to see information: 1. map view When you log in to the network, the view defaults to the map option. You can change the general location for the map by typing any location into the search box at the top right of the map and then clicking the magnifying glass icon.

2 The map will re-display to show the location you entered. The pins on the map illustrate the general area where there are CC alumni. Street addresses are hidden but locations are visible at the zip code level. Use the + and buttons in the lower right corner of the map to zoom in and out to see more or less detail. 2. list view Click the List button near the top left of the screen to change from the map view to the list view. The names of all CC alumni who have not opted out of the online network will display in alphabetical order. You can change the sort by clicking the down arrow next to (A-Z) and selecting a different option.

3 Searching for CC alumni: 1. individual name search Type in the name of the alumnus/alumna in the search box by the CC logo at the top of the screen. 2. filter search Use the drop down lists for graduation year, industry or company to find CC alumni who reference these categories in their LinkedIn profiles. A long list of options appears; check as many as you would like to use for your search. All alumni who meet the criteria you have selected are listed in a column on the left side of the page. Click Reset All Filters to clear your selections.

4 For more filter options, use the All Filters button just to the left of the reset button. Another window opens with the original three search options as well as 10 filters in three different categories. Here again multiple filters can be selected. Then click Apply Filters in the lower right corner to see the results of your customized search. The results of your filtered search will be displayed in a list. This screen shot shows a partial list of a search using graduation years ( ), major (education), and Greek life participants (all 12 options in that list) filters, sorted to show the most recent graduates first.

5 Connecting with CC alumni: 1. Click on a name to go directly to the person s LinkedIn profile. 2. Click on the Class of XXXX under the name to see information in the CC database as well as use four network features: A) send updated information, B) send an , C) go to LinkedIn, and D) connect on LinkedIn. You can use the back arrow to the left of the alum s initials in the gold circle to return to the previous page.
