3 Before you begin Make sure you have: Your old platform username Your old platform password Your old platform PIN Tested that your login details for the old platform are active before the move If you ve forgotten your login details you ll need to ring our customer services team. You can contact them on
4 Accessing the new platform We ll let you know when it s time for you to access the new platform, and will send you the link. Or, when it s time, you can access the new platform from the link on the old platform. Once you re on the new platform login page, activate your access using the steps in this guide. 4
5 Activation reminder message You may receive a reminder when you first visit the new platform login page that you need to activate your account. Once you ve read the message, click the close button. 5
6 Activating your account 1. Enter your old login details into the new platform 2. Confirm your 3. Set your address new password The new platform will recognise you and provide your new username. Your new username is eight digits long and is made up of numbers. Keep your new username in a safe place. This username can t be changed. At the same time as providing you with a new username the platform will ask you to provide a valid address used only by you. Either confirm it s correct or use the link to update your address. If we don t hold an address for you then you will be prompted to provide one. You can set your own password. It s case sensitive. It must: Be at least eight characters Contain at least one capital letter and one lower case letter Include a number or a special character e.g. $! 6

Set your new PIN You can now login Confirmation A Smith New login credentials for your Ascentric Client Portfolio A Smith The activation of your new platform user account has been completed and you can now access your Ascentric Platform using your new User name, shown below. Please use this website address to access the platform and your new User name, which is shown below: Your new User name You must save the website address above as a favourite to ensure you can directly access the new platform. If you have any questions about your platform access, please call us on Our telephone lines are open between 9:00 and 17:30, Monday to Friday. If you contact us, please quote your new User name, shown above Yours sincerely Emma Crawley New Business & Transfers Manager This message and its contents are intended for the named recipient only. The new PIN: Must be six digits long Must have no more than two numbers repeated in succession Must not include a sequence of numbers. Your new username will then be shown again. Please keep it safe. Click the button to log in to the new platform. If you receive an error message then the platform will redirect you to the beginning of the process. Once you ve successfully completed the activation, you ll receive a confirmation . It may take a little while to come through. This will confirm your new username. It ll also have the URL for the new platform. Save this in your favourites on your web browser. 7
8 What now? New Platform New business will be hosted on the new platform from now on. New terms and literature will apply to clients on the new platform. This can be found on the new platform. Our new platform will work best using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari. Don t forget to add the new platform link to your favourites! Old Platform Some of your clients may not have moved and they ll remain on the old platform for now. They ll move in a later migration. The old terms, which still apply to these clients, are available on the old platform or ascentric.co.uk The old platform works best in Internet Explorer 8 or in compatibility mode of newer versions. 9 Frequently asked questions What if I can t find my old username, PIN and password? You can t log in to the new platform without all your old login details (username, password and PIN). If you ve mislaid these you need to contact our customer services team before the move to the new platform. What if I forget my PIN or my password for the new platform? If you forget either your password or your PIN, you can reset it on the platform. If you forget both your password and your PIN then you need to ring our customer services team on Do I need to tell my online clients how to activate the new platform? You can advise your clients that they are moving to an upgraded platform. The first time they log in after we have moved them, they ll be redirected to the new platform ready to go through an activation process. Will you confirm my new platform account is activated? Yes. You ll receive a confirmation . This will contain your new username and the login page URL - both of which you should keep safe. 9
10 Frequently asked questions Will I be sent my new username and password for the new platform in the post? No. You ll receive confirmation of your username by once you have completed the activation process. All you need to activate your new platform details is your old, active username, password and PIN. What if I forget some of my training - how will I know what to do? Don t worry, we ve thought of that. Once you ve logged in, you ll find that the new platform has lots of helpful videos on carrying out the most common processes. If you re really stuck then bdc@ascentric.co.uk and we ll be glad to help. My client has activated their new platform login. How do they get to the new login page? It s best if they save the new platform URL on the device, or devices, that they use to access the platform. The link can be found in the confirmation that they received after completing the activation process. There is also a link to the new platform on the login page of the old platform. Will I still need to use the old platform? Yes, if any of your clients fail migration they ll remain on the old platform for now and you ll need to use the old platform to view their accounts. 10
