3 myexplorer Overview Latest A dynamic feed of posts from channels or topics subscribed, sorted by posting date (most recent posts appear first) Trending Top posts from channels or topics followed, sorted by popularity (most liked posts appear first) Channels Dedicated channels from which a you as a channel admin can post your content (e.g. President s Office, Group HRM) Topics Tags which you as a channel admin can assign to your content to group it to a specific topic (e.g. Formula 1, Technology), making it easier for users to discover) Posts Information shared by you as a channel admin, including articles, photos, internal/external hyperlinks and documents, will appear in the form of posts. Posts can be composed on desktop or mobile.
4 myexplorer Overview My Channels Access channels you own through this tab and start composing your post (Channel Admin View Only) My Subscriptions List of all channels and topics subscribed by you. Help Access the About myexplorer page, FAQ, Terms and Conditions. Directly contact the myexplorer team through Contact Us for any inquiries or issues. Favourite Posts Posts marked as Favourite are saved here for future viewing. Downloaded Files Downloaded files from posts can be viewed here. Logout Logout from the application from here.

6 Choose your Channel Type 1. Public Channel Discoverable by all myexplorer users (PETRONAS staff). Posts can be viewed and subscribed by all PETRONAS staff. 2. Private Channel Not discoverable through the mobile app. Subscription by invitation only. Only subscribed users can see posts from the channel.
7 Choose your Channel Feature 1. Open Channel Allowing 2 way communication Subscribers to your channel may contribute posts. Channel admin may moderate the post by deleting inappropriate post from the channel. 2. Close Channel A one way communication. Only channel admin will be allowed to contribute post to the channel. Viewers of the channel may only comment, like and share on each post.
8 Policies and Guidelines for posting on myexplorer Not Allowed! Populate Your Content Own It! Cite Your Sources Channels for content deemed inappropriate for the workplace are not allowed: Religion Politics 5 posts before channel will be live on the app. Target to have at least 1 post per week. For public channels, target to reach at least 150 subscribers. Channel owners are fully responsible for all the posts published. Sources and external links used extensively in your post should be cited. Do not plagiarise! Not Safe For Work / Explicit content Channels that are inactive for 3 months will be deactivated
9 Channel Application Process Complete Application Form Download and sign-in to the mobile app for the system to recognise your ID. Fill up the myexplorer application form. Approval Process Applications will be processed by the myexplorer team. If required, the team will contact you for more information. Allow 3 business days for the application process. Channel LIVE! Upon approval, the channel will be created based on the information provided. Channel admins must post at least 5 posts before the channel is made public. Promote your channel via your internal site / blast. Start posting and engaging your users!

12 Login Access the myexplorer Admin Portal at: com/adminportal/login Select a domain from the dropdown list. Key in your username. E.g. raidah.yaacob. Key in the password to your username. Click Log In.
13 Profile 1 2 Click on Menu to expand the panel. Your profile will contain the following information which is extracted from the PETRONAS Directory: 1. Profile Image 2. First Name and Last Name 3. Company Name 3 Click on Logout to logout of the portal at any time.
14 Notifications (1/2) 1 Click on Notifications to view all the notifications from all your channels. 2 Click on a notification to view the post where the notification originated from. 3 Click on Mark all as Read to mark all notifications as read. 4 Click on Read All Messages to view a page listing all your notifications.
15 Notifications (2/2) 5 Click on an individual notification to view the post where the notification originated from.
16 All Channels Type a channel name to filter the list of channels. Click on the channel thumbnail image to access a channel. Alternatively, click on the channel title to access a channel. Hover over Favorite to view the number of subscribers for a channel. Note: Please the myexplorer team at myexplorer@petronas.com to request a change to your channel details. E.g.: Channel name Channel description Banner Image Thumbnail Image Open/Close Settings Public/Private Settings Channel Administrators
17 Adding Subscribers (1/2) 1 Click on Add Subscribers to begin adding subscribers to your channel. Note: Only Private channels have the functionality to add subscribers.
18 Adding Subscribers (2/2) 2 3 Key in a username. Select a name from the dropdown. 4 Click Send.
19 Channel Posts 1 Click on Channels or Home to return to the page listing all your channels. 2 View this section to obtain the number of subscribers and posts in a channel. 3 Click on Channel Posts to view all postings in the channel. 4 Key in a post title to filter the list of posts. 5 Toggle YES to view only the posts created by you. Toggle NO to view all posts in the channel.
20 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (1/11) 1 Click on Create New Post to begin creating a post.
21 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (2/11) 2 Key in a title for your post. 3 Key in the content of your post. Note: Images can be inserted between the content. 4 Key in a URL to display a scraping on your post. 5 The post slug is auto populated based on your post title. However it can be edited. Note: Post title and content are mandatory fields.
22 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (3/11) 6 Click on Select Topics to display a dropdown list of all topics. Note: A topic can be typed for quick reference as well. 7 Select a dropdown value to tag the post to a topic. Note: More than one topic can be tagged to a post. Note: Topic is a mandatory fields.
23 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (4/11) 8 Associate a user to a post by typing his/her username. 9 Select a name from the dropdown list to tag the user. Note: More than one user can be tagged to a post.
24 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (5/11) 10 Toggle NO to display your name as the author of this post. Toggle YES to display another name as the author of this post. E.g. You are posting on behalf of another person. 11 Select PETRONAS Directory to select an author name from the PETRONAS Address Book. 12 Type in the username of the author. 13 Select a name from the dropdown list to tag the person as the author of this post.
25 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (6/11) 14 Select Others to key in an author name that cannot be found in the PETRONAS Address Book. E.g. Users from other than the PETRONAS domain, group names, department names, etc. 15 Key in the author name.
26 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (7/11) 16 Toggle ON to publish the post. Toggle NO to maintain the post as Draft. 17 Click on the clock icon to change the publish time. Note: You can schedule to publish a post ahead of time. 18 Click on the calendar icon to change the publish date. 19 Click Preview to obtain a sneak peak of the post as it will appear in the User Portal. 20 Click Save to save the post.
27 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (8/11) 21 Click Select Files to upload a thumbnail image for your post. Note: The only allowable image types are JPG, JPEG, GIF and PNG. Only images that are sized less than 5MB can be uploaded as well. 22 Click Select Files to upload a document to your post. Note: The only allowable document formats are DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PDF, PPT, PPTX and TXT. Only documents that are sized less than 5MB can be uploaded as well. Note: Uploads are only allowed after a post has been Saved.
28 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (9/11) 23 Click Select Files to upload a video for your post. Note: The only allowable video type is MP4. Only videos that are sized less than 50MB can be uploaded as well. 24 Click Change Video Thumbnail to set the thumbnail image for a video.
29 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (10/11) 25 Click Pause on the desired frame to be made into the thumbnail image. 26 Click Set Thumbnail to set the frame as the thumbnail image.
30 Creating/Editing Post on Portal (11/11) 27 Click Update to update any changes made to the post.
31 Post Details 1 View this section to identify the post creator s first name, last name, address and profile image. 2 Click Edit to edit a post. 3 Click Delete to delete a post from a channel. Note: Once deleted, a post can never be retrieved. 4 View this section to identify the number of favorites, views, comments and likes that the post has garnered. This section details when the post was published as well.
32 Channel Owners 1 Click on Channel Owners to view the list of channel owners. 2 Key in a name to filter the list of channel owners. Note: Channel Owners are users who can access the myexplorer Admin Portal. Channel Owners are able to create, edit and delete posts. Channel Owners are able to delete subscribers. Channel Owners of Private channels are able to add subscribers.
33 Channel Subscribers 1 Click on Channel Subscribers to view the list of channel subscribers. 2 Key in a name to filter the list of channel subscribers. 3 Hover over a subscriber name and click X to remove the subscriber from your channel. Note: Channel Subscribers will receive a notification when your channel publishes a new post. Channel Subscribers of Private channels are the only users who are able to access the channel and view its posts. All users to myexplorer can view a Public channel and its posts regardless of subscription.
34 Creating Post on Mobile (1/3) 3 Select the specific channel that you wish to post to. 2 Click on My Channel to view the list of channels you maintain. 1 Click on More to access your myexplorer profile.

54 Posting like a STAR Develop A Relationship with Your Audience Think about your target audience and how your post is relevant to them. Bond with them through: goodwill (e.g., sharing interesting facts, business and industry trends, tips for work), humor (e.g., sharing a humorous quote or comic), imagery (e.g., use photos and graphics to tell your story). Make it a 2-way communication To increase engagement, end your post by asking your audience for their ideas, opinions or advice or include a call to action. Make sure you respond to readers comments to show that their feedback matters. Time your posts well Timing is key to make sure your post is visible to your subscribers. Post during lunch hour when people are active on their mobile devices. Plan your content. Too few posts will make your channel invisible. Too many posts will annoy your audience. We recommend spacing posts out to 2-3 a week.
55 Posting like a STAR Posts stories that will boost your channel s credibility PETRONAS is known for its prestigious events. If one of the successful events or conference showcases your area, share it on your channel. These types of posts increases visibility and affinity for your channel. Don t just post content about your brand Include content that benefits your audience once in a while, instead of just talking about your brand. For example, a HR-related channel can include a post on What Makes you Irreplaceable at your Workplace in place of the usual HR announcements. Share your thoughts when sharing a URL Before publishing hyperlinks on your channel, customise the post to make it more personal. For example, add your opinion or remarks to the title of the story, such as 7 Ways to Increase your Time Management Efficiency (#2 is the most powerful of them all).
56 myexplorer Quick Checklist No Checklist Y/N Short & Precise Title Title should be short and catchy. Make sure it accurately describes the content. Thumbnail Picture A picture paints a thousand words, so include pictures in your post. Thumbnail pictures will show up in user s newsfeed. Scannable Posts Your post should be easy to read and not too lengthy. 4 Emphasise your key messages! Use bold, UPPERCASE, italics and/or underline for emphasis.
57 myexplorer Quick Checklist No Checklist Y/N Mobile Responsive Site 5 6 If you are posting a link to another article, ensure it is mobile responsive for optimal viewing. Test out the mobile responsiveness of the link on your phone before posting Do not post Facebook or other social media links. PETRONAS Sites Ensure the internal link you are posting is accessible via Internet. Test this out with your phone s data connection.
