2 The W-8BEN electronic form is only available to clients who have been invited to use the e-platform stated in the Renewal of Form W-8BEN (for Individual Account) letter. I. Full Electronic Process (with e-signature) 1. Login to BOCI Online Securities Trading Platform. 2. Click ACCOUNTS on the top right hand corner of the page. 3. Select Customer Service. Then, choose the account to submit Form W-8BEN from the Account list. Please note: If you have more than one trading accounts with different master account numbers (i.e. first 7 digits account number), you are required to submit one Form W-8BEN for each unique master account. If you have more than one trading accounts and these accounts are under the same master account number (i.e. first 7 digits account number), you are only required to submit one Form W- 8BEN for all of the sub-accounts (i.e. last 4 digits account number) under this master account. The link to the form will only be displayed in one of the sub-accounts.

3 4. Click the W-8BEN Form Renewal link. The link will also show the W-8BEN expiry date of the corresponding account. 5. Read the Disclaimer carefully. Click ACCEPT to enter the electronic form supported by a third party vendor. Click EXIT If you do not agree with the disclaimer. Then, print and fill out a Form W-8BEN and submit to us by mail or before the expiry date.

4 6. The W-8BEN electronic form will be opened in a new window and displayed in Chinese by default. Change the language using the Language menu on the top right hand corner if necessary..com At the same time, an with your PIN will be sent to your registered address from W8BENePIN@bocigroup.com. Enter the PIN under Enter PIN on the LOGIN page and click Continue. sample Login Page

5 7. Upon successful login, review the prefilled information under First Name of the Signer and Last Name of the Signer and the terms of the E-Sign Act. If the information is correct and you accept the terms of the E-Sign Act, select all checkboxes (total of 4) and click Submit. Tai Man 8. For your convenience, mandatory fields of the form have been prefilled based on the client data in our system. Please review all fields on each of the 7 pages below (I VII) in sequence. If the information is correct, click Next to proceed to the next page. Please note that client data prefilled in the electronic W-8BEN form is not editable. If the prefilled information is incorrect and needed modification, please update your personal data with us at your soonest by returning a Change of Personal Particular form. Upon confirmation of the Change of Personal Particular form, relevant information will be applied to the electronic W-8BEN form within 7 working days.

10 10. The electronic form shall not be used for claiming tax treaty benefits. If you accept the predefined answer, click Next to continue. 11. The information confirmed in step 9 will be pasted on a FormW-8BEN in standard format for your review again. If the information is correct, click Next. TAI MAN CHAN CHINA

11 12. Review the disclaimers on the Sign and Submit page and check all boxes (total of 6) if you agree. Then, enter the PIN received via during login as your electronic signature for the form. Click Submit to officially submit your Form W-8BEN. 13. The Confirmation page will be displayed if the submission is successful. You may click the icon on screen to open and view your submitted form. If you are unable to view the 2 nd page of the document with your document viewer software, we suggest you to download and use other software such as the Microsoft Windows Photo Viewer to view the form.

If the page in step 13 shows Pending for Confirmation, that means the online form submission is unsuccessful. Please exit the form by clicking x on the top right hand corner of the screen and submit a new form. You may also contact our customer service hotline at (852) for enquiry.

13 II. Partial Electronic Process (without e-signature) 1. Follow steps 1-6 of Full Electronic Process (with e-signature) to login to the electronic Form W- 8BEN. 2. Upon successful login, read the terms of the E-Sign Act carefully. If you do not agree with the terms, click Decline E-Sign. Tai Man 3. The system will prompt the E-Sign Decline message, if you confirm not to use electronic signature, click Decline. Please note that if you decline to use electronic signature, after review and confirmation of form data via the platform, you are required to print, sign and return the form to us by post or .

14 4. Follow step 8-11 of Full Electronic Process (with e-signature) to review all personal information prefilled on the electronic Form W-8BEN. 5. On the Sign and Submit page, the E-Sign Decline Reconsideration message will be prompted. Click No if you confirm to decline the use of electronic signature. 6. The Pending for Submission page will be displayed, which means your submission is not complete. Click the icon on the page to open the document and print the form. If you are unable to view the 2 nd page of the document with your document viewer software, we suggest you to download and use other software such as the Microsoft Windows Photo Viewer to view the form.

15 7. The Form W-8BEN can be found on P.2 of the document. Please print out the form, then sign and fill in your name and date (MM/DD/YYYY) at the bottom of the form. The form shall then be return to us by mail or .
