I don t know about you all, but I m glad it s spring time now and will be even more grateful when the rain is over for the season. It s no doubt, been a long winter/spring.

1 OUR COMMUNITY: PRE-WINTER EDITION APRIL 1, 2017 bâü VÉÅÅâÇ àçm fñü Çz xw à ÉÇ WINTER ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS What an unbelievable winter it s been! Record snow, record number of ice storms and to finish it off, record rain has fallen two months in a row. I don t know about you all, but I m glad it s spring time now and will be even more grateful when the rain is over for the season. It s no doubt, been a long winter/spring. I want to send a quick thank you to all of you who helped and were understanding and helpful during the worst parts of it. It was no easy task to deal with such huge amounts of winter weather! It s nice to know the community helps each other out, this winter brought out the best in Columbia Vista! DECLUTTER FOR FREE! As I m sure you re aware, the Declutter for free event is returning at the end of April. This year, I d like to see everyone focused on getting ALL yards cleaned up. Please don t use the dumpster for cleaning areas not visible to the rest of the community. Please use it for cleaning up the outside of your homes. That is the original purpose of this program. Details on what can and cannot be put in the dumpster can be found at the end of this newsletter. I d like to take a moment to welcome Jose and family to the community as well as Patricia. It is our pleasure to have you as part of our diverse and friendly community here at Columbia Vista. Congratulations on your home purchases and we hope you enjoy it here in your new community. If you are a neighbor to a new homeowner, take a minute to say hello to them and welcome them to the community. 1

Our Community: Spring edition Inside Story Headline PRESSURE WASHING STARTING SOON! Believe it or not, it s been two years since the last time I pressure washed the sidewalks.

So, the nice weather is more than welcome since our sidewalks and walls have definitely shown signs of needing to be washed as soon as possible.

2 Our Community: Spring edition Inside Story Headline PRESSURE WASHING STARTING SOON! Believe it or not, it s been two years since the last time I pressure washed the sidewalks. I will be starting that project in the coming week or two, depending on if the sunshine sticks around. There s nothing more miserable than being soaked to the bone wet while having to work out there. So, the nice weather is more than welcome since our sidewalks and walls have definitely shown signs of needing to be washed as soon as possible. I would appreciate if you would please bring your trash cans in off the sidewalk ASAP once they ve been dumped and also, please keep ALL vehicles off the street. Not only because it s inconvenient for me when I m pressure washing, but also, because the rules are clear.no street parking. Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated. Questions? Ideas? Comments? Submit ideas, comments and questions to columbiavista@aol.com or drop them in the drop box in the front of the office. NEED SOME SHADE THIS SUMMER? If you re in need of a place to relax this summer, don t forget the park area at the upper end of the park. There are several old trees, lots of shade and a picnic table for your enjoyment up there. You could even bring a tabletop barbecue if you prefer. This would be a great place to hold a birthday party without the confines of your home or the clubhouse. Please just remember to pack out your own trash so that others can also enjoy the use of the facilities. 2 Did you know we re online? With any event that may be happening in our community, we d like to be able to open ANY means of communication possible. Liking our Facebook page is the best way. We always continue to keep you up to date with . Your address is only used for communications regarding the community, never is sold and is kept private from other residents when bulk s are sent. Also, we have the park website which has been instrumental in helping us keep the park full of wonderful tenants. Your pets are important! Just wanted to put a reminder out that your pets safety is very important to us here at Columbia Vista. As a member of our community, you are allowed to have pets. However, we require that you keep your dogs contained either in a fenced yard, or if your dog is a little Houdini like mine, keep them on a tether when they are outside for fresh air and a potty break. There have been a couple incidents involving residents pets roaming around and in some cases, ending up in 257th nearly being hit by several passing cars. Please keep this in mind and do your part as a responsible pet owner.

3 Our Community: Spring edition LOST AND FOUND If you find any kids toys missing, like bikes, balls, etc. feel free to contact me and see if they ve been brought in as lost and found. I have had many of your neighbors contact me upset by the amount of toys littering the streets and oftentimes their driveways. I told them that rather than hassle with trying to find the rightful owner of the item, just bring it in to the office. There is no reason why anyone should have to hassle with kids toys being in the way. If your kids take it out, CLUBHOUSE USE GUIDELINES: please make sure it gets put away. If an item goes unclaimed, it will be donated to Goodwill, no questions asked. Please me any questions regarding this. If isn t possible or you prefer to communicate the old fashioned way, please feel free to drop something in the drop box in the front of the office and I will get it next time I m in. The office address is: columbiavista@aol.com As you may or may not know, the clubhouse is there to use for your birthdays, holidays or some people even do baking days in there. If you have a need arise to have a get together and don t want all those guests in your house at once, call me and reserve the clubhouse. Recently, the requirements changed. We require a $100 refundable cleaning deposit in the form of cash or a money order (left blank so it can be returned easier). If you leave the clubhouse clean upon inspection, the refundable deposit will be returned to you. You pay rent not only for your space each month, but also for the use of the facilities that we provide you. Speaking of I would like to do my part to reduce waste by asking you for your addresses so I may send you the quarterly newsletter via . Please me so I can have them handy. Thanks, Adam space for any occasion, don t hesitate to call and reserve it. Just a quick rundown of the rules governing the use of the clubhouse though: 1. No consumption of alcoholic beverages permitted 2. No overnight parties 3. Must vacate by 10PM and leave key in drop box at the office and the clubhouse must be clean upon inspection, no returning the next day to clean it, clean by the END OF THAT DAY.
