3 Overview Disclaimered Media, similar in concept to Media Protect, allows you to protect Media elements by way of a Disclaimer. It will help prevent uses from copying and sharing the URL to the media resource. While it wont prevent one from saving the document to their computer and ing it, as this is a characteristic of the HTTProtocol, it will advise them that doing so is a violation of the terms of usage for viewing the document. Below is the default formatting applied to the default configuration of the Disclaimered Media package. Clicking on the I Confirm button will proceed to render the media to the users browser. It varies from Media Protect in that the user is not required to login and thus no user account is required. Therefore making it ideal for sites that want to share content with its uses while not restricting the audience to those with logins. There is no configuration required and everything you require is contained within on Macro. There are 4 properties on the Disclaimered Media Server Control: Title - A title of your disclaimer Text - The body text of your disclaimer ConfirmText - The text that will appear on your confirmation button MediaFile - The media resource that you wish to add the disclaimer to The package comes with the following Items. 3/14

5 Step 2 Mark the I understand the security risks associated with installing a local package, click Choose File and select the Disclaimered_Media_<version>.zip file then click Load Package Step 3 Accept the License and click Install Package 5/14

7 Post Installation Step 1 Set the site structure to allow the Disclaimered Media Document Type to be a child of your site's structure 7/14

8 Step 2 In the example below Disclaimered Media is allowed to be nested under a Content Page 8/14

9 Step 3 Set the master template for the Disclaimered Media template. Note that if your master template already has a form element, you will have to remove the form element that comes in the Disclaimered Media template. Note that if you only want the macro then you can copy and past the macro in to your own document type template. Just remember to include the properties in your document's definition. 9/14

14 Styling There is a default CSS style sheet that comes with the package. However you may wish to change this to suit your site.
