1 Dashboard Guide Access 1. Open Firefox and enter the following url: 2. Enter your User Name and Password and click the Login button. Home The Home page is a communication dashboard that presents information when you log into the system that is related to your role in the business. The Home page is configured for these roles: Manager - the person responsible for the business and its operations Service Provider - staff members who perform services Front Desk - staff members who work on the front desk/reception team, in the call center, or who are retail specialists Navigation In the upper right hand corner of this and all screens in SalonBiz Central, you will see the following: Your user name User Guides - where you can access step-by-step instructions Time Clock - where you clock in and out Logout - where you logout of the system when you are done Central Menu The SalonBiz Central menu is displayed along the top of the screen. It is separated into two areas: Products Tools To move among the applications, simply click on the name. v Only administrators will have access to the Admin menu Time Clock The time clock displays the last 14 days of logins. It notes Time In and Time Out along with a total number of Hours for each day. 1. To clock in, click on the Time Clock button the upper right corner of the screen and then click the Clock In button. 2. To clock out click on the Time Clock button the upper right corner of the screen and then click the Clock Out button.

2 Service Provider Role Employees who are assigned to the Service Provider role will see their own statistics displayed on the Central Home screen. Service Providers who work in more than one location will see their primary location by default. To change location view: 1. Click on Change next to your name. 2. In the Change Metrics View window, select the location you wish to view from the drop down menu. 3. Click your desired location in blue text under your name. 4. This will change the display on your home page so that you can view your metrics from that location. v Service providers marked as Multi Location during setup (admin only) will see their current totals displayed without having to select locations. v Only managers have the ability to change from location stats to service provider stats. Individual service providers are not able to view other service provider s home page statistics. Manager and Reception Role Employees who are assigned to the Manager and Reception roles will see the location s information displayed on the Central Home screen. The location name is displayed to indicate this view. To change the view to another location or staff member: 1. Click on Change next to Whole Location. 2. In the Change Metrics View window, select the location you wish to view from the drop down menu. 3. Click your desired location in blue text. 4. This will change the display on your home page. Stats View Options All stats will default to the current day; you can change it by clicking in the area at the top of the Metrics section. When you select the date from the calendar, you're selecting the "End" date of the range. When Day view is selected you are viewing the day selected. Week View will display the current week Sunday (start date) to today (the day selected or end date) If the day selected is Thursday, the week view will show you your totals from Sunday through Thursday. Month View will display the current month the 1 st of the month (start date) to today (the day selected or end date) If the day selected is the 18 th, the Month view will calculate your totals from the 1 st to the 18 th. Select a different day by clicking on the calendar icon. o To view an entire week, select the last day of the desired o week (Saturday), and click Week. To view an entire month, select the last day of the month from the calendar, and click Month. Current Pay Period If you have defined a pay period in SalonBiz (under Blueprints/Spa/Pay Period) you will have the ability to view your numbers for the defined pay period.

3 Data Actual the actual number for the time period selected Goal entered by the Owner/Manager in the set up process Trend The arrows are red and point downwards if you are below your goal; green and point upwards if your performance is exceeding the goal. The Trend compares performance to: o Day same day last week o Week same week last week o Month same month last month Metrics This portal displays real-time (live) data for the business so that you can see your actual, goal and your trend comparing the previous time selected; previous day, previous week, previous month. % Booked Percent booked for service looks at the amount of time you are available for appointments and then looks at the time you are booked. (hours booked / hours available blocked hours x 100) % Rebooked Percent of anyone who had a service today and who either rebooked a service in the future today or already had a service booked in the future. (#staff rebooks / #svc visits) x100 SPST (Service per service ticket) total service dollars / total number of service tickets RPCT (Retail per client ticket) total product dollars / total number of tickets RPST (Retail per service ticket) total product sales on service tickets / total number of service tickets RPRT (Retail per retail ticket) (total product sales dollars products sold on service tickets) / (#tickets - #service tickets) % Buying number of clients with a service that also purchased retail. (#services sold with product / #svc tickets) x 100 % Hair Color percent of hair services that are color services (color service $ / hair service $) x 100 (Service categories are determined in the Admin menu) % Retention is only available in Month View mode because retention is calculated over a day range. (Total # of new client returns + # of existing client returns) / (total number of new client visits + total of existing client visits) X 100 Changing the Display You can change the display from the overview graphs to a detailed line graph by clicking the name of the indicator you wish to view. On the graph: The pink line represents the actual amount The blue line represents the goal Forecast The forecaster is dynamic, so as the day goes by it changes. The forecast shows you what is predicted and is displayed just above the line graph in a similar bar graph format to the home screen indicators. It is for the location view, that day only, past days do not carry a forecast that you can reference once the day has passed.

4 The forecasted amount is shaded and has a dollar value associated with it. If you were to add several appointments during the day, the forecaster would increase. The actual amount is solid and indicates what is actually being done based on the tickets processed for that day. The color compares the forecast or actual to the goal, red is down and green is above your goal. The Forecast is only available for Service and Retail numbers In service, it looks at the revenue associated with remaining services on the book. The system looks at the value of services - looking first for a customer custom service price, next, to the staff price, last to the default price. If no revenue is associated with those services, it takes the service average for that category. In Retail, it looks at the number of appointments for the day, and the average RPCT. Trend Trend compares the forecast to the last period: same day last week same week last week same month last month News The News section displays company-wide messages and can be used as a communication tool for displaying static messages to all employees. Product Focus The Product Focus area houses the featured product of the month for the company. This area is administered by SalonBiz. Education Focus The Education Focus area houses educational events for the company. This area is administered by SalonBiz.

5 My Messages The My Messages area houses all communications from the system, company and location. New, unread messages are indicated in bold. System Messages are sent by SalonBiz to all SalonBiz Central users. They are administered by SalonBiz. Company Messages are sent to all users within a company. Location Messages are sent to all users associated with a particular location. Handbook Messages are auto-generated by the system when the Handbook is updated or new information is added. This notification has an audit for managers built in to it so that they can see which employees have read or not read the handbook revisions. Auto-Generated Messages include holiday requests and missed clock-out notifications for managers. Message Alerts As new system, company and location messages are received, the count of new messages will increase next to your Dashboard link on the Central menu. Viewing Messages All new messages will be displayed in bold text. 1. To review a message, click on the Subject. The message will be displayed. 2. Review the message and click the X to close it. 3. Click on the garbage can to remove a message. Sorting Messages All messages can be displayed sorted by type of message. 1. In the right hand side of the My Messages area, click to view that type of message. 2. Click on All to return back to viewing all messages.
