1 Employee s WorkForce Software User Guide Logging In & Navigating the Home Screen 1. Go to the KAG Company Portal Page and select the WorkForce Software tile 2. Starting on December 25 th, 2016 you will choose the blue Production tile. If you are testing, you will use the red TEST tile 3. Log into EmpCenter by entering your KAG User ID and Password into the Login window.

2 4. The first time you log into EmpCenter, the following dialog appears. Click OK. 5. You are now at the employee Home Screen/Dashboard. Your dashboard is arranged in groups of related tasks called Areas. Each area contains one or more links that you can use to access employee functions. 6. You can make any of the links a Favorite for quick access by clicking the star next to the link Page 2 of 12

3 7. When you favorite a link, a new Favorites area will display with your favorite links. To remove a favorite link, click the star next to the link again 8. If at any time you are in one of the area screens and would like to navigate to the home/dashboard screen, click Home in the top left Page 3 of 12

4 Clocking In and Out 1. In your Time Entry area, Select Go to Web Clock 2. The EMPCenter WebClock interface appears. 3. The WebClock interface includes the following buttons: A. Select In For Day to record the start of the work day. *Also to be used when returning from a personal appointment B. Select Out For Day to record the end of the work day. *Also to be used when leaving for a personal appointment C. Select Out To Lunch to record the time you leave for a meal. D. Select Return From Lunch to record the time you return from a meal. E. Timesheet: Takes you to view the timesheet. F. Dashboard: Takes you back to the home screen G. Logout: Logs you out of EmpCenter *This will NOT clock you out for the day. You must Out For Day for your time to record Page 4 of 12

5 4. The WebClock screen will timeout with inactivity. The following message appears with time in seconds left until automatic logout. 5. When a punch is selected a message saying the punch was successfully recorded will display at the top of the screen. The message is only displayed for a brief period of time. 6. For additional confirmation that the punch was properly recorded, the punch can be reviewed on the timesheet; Select Timesheet Page 5 of 12

6 7. Select the calendar icon at the top left of the screen. 8. A 3 month calendar is displayed. Select Today at the bottom of the calendar. Page 6 of 12

7 9. The current timesheet will now be displayed. Go to the day where the punch should be located and confirm that that punch has been recorded. 10. As you clock in and out through your day, your times will stack in segments: A) The employee clocked in at 7:01 AM for the day and out for lunch at 12:31 PM B) The employee was at lunch from 12:31 PM to 1:02 PM C) The employee returned from lunch at 1:02 PM and clocked out for the day at 3:43 PM D) The employee did not take a lunch, clocked in at 6:51 AM and out at 3:48 PM Page 7 of 12

8 Requesting Time Off 1. From your homepage, select My Time Off 2. Select Create New Request 3. From the dropdown, choose the type of time off Page 8 of 12

9 4. Select your dates and add any comments for your manager, then click Next 5. Your requests will show with the hours to be paid. If you only want ½ day, you can change the hours accordingly and then click Update 6. Your request will also show your time off as it reflects your year Page 9 of 12

10 7. Once you have entered your request and are ready to submit, click Submit. 8. Once your submission is complete, you will receive confirmation. Click OK. a. **Note- Once a request has been submitted, it cannot be edited. your manager should you want to change after submission 9. You will then be taken to your My Time Off area, where you can see your current requests statuses, past requests. You can also create additional requests from this area. You can sort your requests by each of the column header names, Type/Start Date/End Date/Hours Requested/Status. 10. You will also be able to see your requests from your home dashboard in the Time Off Requests area Page 10 of 12

11 Calendar View 1. From your homepage, select My Calendar 2. The calendar will open to the current month. From here you can see your scheduled days to work, pending requested time off, holidays, approved floating holidays, and approved PTO. Page 11 of 12

12 3. You can view your timesheet for a specific day from the calendar as well. Click on your scheduled day and select View your Time Sheet 4. This will open another browser window with your timesheet with the same view as your View My Hours area Page 12 of 12
